5 Book Authors who are guaranteed to make me immerse myself in the story

or authors who make me come back to the same stories over and over again.

Welcome, dearies!

A new list is here, but not a book specific one, but the authors that made me grab copy after copy of their books, and sometimes get different versions of the same book. 😍 What they have in common? Not much other their amazing way of telling a story and make me want to go into those worlds.

Basically, the authors who are responsible that I am such a bookish girl. High praise, I know! 😆✨️

Alright, here we go. Jumping right into it, I will ramble enough later on.

Cassandra Clare

This was the obvious one. Even if all books I have read by Cassie are the Shadowhunters novels it is still an author I would start reading a book from without questioning much. 🙂

And, yes, there are others books by her that are not The Mortal Instrumentals, The Dark Artifices, or Magnus’ Stories. Like Sword Catcher.

Jennifer Armentrout

For Jennifer, again, I haven’t actually read other books others than the ones with Aliens and such in them, yes, I mean the Lux Series and the Origin Series. But unlike with Cassandra Clare, I do know she has so many other books that are right up my alley, I have them saved on my endless TBR. Like the Dark Elements SeriesHarbinger Series or the Covenant Series, all of which I have read the descriptions of and added to my list. But she has others, too.

Shana Abe

Ah, Shana. I love her writing, she quickly became one of my top fav authors after I read The Drakon Series. And I did read almost all of her books after that.

It was epic. Mostly Romance, Regency, Fantasy, and drama novels in a historical setting (Intimate Enemies. The Last Mermaid. A Winter Rose), and yet, I read through each book like it was a holiday and I had the time. This was years ago, but I have re-read some of her books and still like them like the first time.

But The Sweetest Dark and The Dream Thief remain my top favourite books by Shana. And yes, I have bought or added books by her only by seeing her name.

Laura Gallego

Laura Gallego Garcia is a Spanish author that first got my attention when I read The Idhun Chronicles, ten years ago? Or so, it was a long time ago. 🥹 And from that first trilogy, which I have re read a bunch of times and talked about almost a little too much (Idhunita), but because of how much I immersed myself in the story of the three suns and three moons, I couldn’t help but see her name and immediately buy a book or add it to my TBR.

Now, I haven’t read them all, but I am sure that I will like them all the same.

Marissa Meyer

Alright, finally but not least important or less favourite is Marissa Meyer, although she is a newer like, her retelling of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel to name the first three of The Lunar Chronicles was on point and creative, haha, that sounded a bit generic, sorry.

Let me start again, I love The Lunar Chronicles stories, Cinder, which is about Cinderella, I had to restart the first chapter a couple of times before I truly stayed and read to them. And it was worth it. And after reading Scarlet, I went and got the paperbacks, and when I started Cress, I was in deep with the story. By Winter (book 4) I was committed and sure I would read anything by Marissa Meyer.

That’s all for this one.

As I was naming these 5 like another three came to mind, but romance authors, lol. There is an idea 😄 a list of romance authors that make me buy ebooks over and over, should I?

Let me know in the comments. Or if you liked this list and would like to see different ones. I’m all ears.

Don’t forget to like, share, and follow if you are not already. It’s always nice to see your interest. ♥️

Scorched by Darkness [Eternal Mates #18] Book Review

The story of Hartt, and another story to soon go to the story in book 19.

Oh boy, I do like the dark ones. And the elves.

Welcome, dearies! 📖

It is a new day for a book review about Eternal Mates, this time book 18. If you were here when I started with these, you have followed the progress with me.

If you arrived at Avenged by an Angel book 16, you might know that I read 3 of these books in a row. 16, 17, and 18. I was building myself up to this one to be honest. I could have jumped from Unchained by a Forbidden Love to this one, but I decided to follow the order.

I am glad I did, and at the same time a bit disappointed because it was a journey that veered off from what I was expecting.

The thing about these books as that you could read them as stand-alone but at the same time, not, because there are some details let’s say from Kissed by a Dark Prince, Book 1, that you might need for this one book 18. So, I read more of these but at the same time could have skipped some parts.

I come with News: The Lunar Chronicles Movie is Happening

New The Lunar Chronicles news… about the upcoming animated movie.

Yes, we sort of already knew about it.

But it was not confirmed, confirmed, and there was no date but now there it is! So excited about seeing The Lunar Chronicles.

Last time on the blog: The Lunar Chronicles: Animated News

Now, recently Marissa Meyer, announced the official date for the movie or she told us to go read the news on Deadline.

And even when it doesn’t say much other than it will be in theaters in Nov. 3, 2028, I’m still going to wait for it, three years, is not much, right? Right? (it is *whispered sigh*).

Hello, dearies! 🪽

At this point, you might have noticed that I like these books 😆 I cannot seem to stop myself from buying them. Since I picked up the Eternal Mates series again, I have not been able to stop until I get to the bottom of it all. Although, the last one I read seemed to take a small turn, a wee one from what I had read on this one and book #17. Alright I’m getting ahead of myself because I read 3 of these in a row.

I shall focus on Avenged by an Angel, which I had wanted to read since book 7? The one on Taken by a Dragon, I think; like honestly, I knew this one was coming at some point and when I began reading, it all seemed to point in the right direction, and then? To be honest, I stopped reading for a bit, it was kind of predictable, but I still read it and liked it, but was not as: whoa! As I had expected.

9 Books that I can easily re-read every year… some times twice a year

“The meek may inherit the earth, but at the moment it belongs to the conceited. Like me.”
From City of Bones

Hello, dearies! 📚

Welcome to another ranting on books that not everyone might know about, but I am very attached to and like a lot, and I don’t mind re-reading them over and over, even when I have a reading list (or TBR if you prefer) the size of a town.

So, what are some books that I wouldn’t get tired of reading? You might be surprised, because I certainly was when thinking back and trying to figure out, what would be that book that I want to re-read?

And so, here I am, sharing because I am kind like that. 😆

2025: Year of The Snake 🐍 What to read?

Snake is the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac’s 12-year cycle, following the Dragon but preceding the Horse.

Hello, dearies! This one is a bit late, yes.

But it is 2025 and it is the Year of The Snake, so what should we read? Are there books related to snakes? 🐍

You know what is the first book I am going to name, right?

I think you do.

10 Book Characters from Romances to Go Back to

“I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have.”
Outlander – J.F

Male Characters that is… 😏

Hello, dearies! 🙃

Because of a post on one of my favourite book characters, I realised that I haven’t updated or done a book characters from romances in like ever, I have never done it.

So, here we are… I’ll try to keep it short… even when we know that it is not my forte. 😆

Top 5 Reads of 2024

“I’ll help you get lost any time, Sunshine. The only deal is you have to promise to come back. I never want to lose you again.”

Hello, dearies! ❄️

It is almost the end of the year, and I cannot believe it!

What did I read this year though? It was varied, but with some (a lot) of re-readings in there. But I’ll keep this top 5 rating of 2024 to the books, manga, and light novel that I hadn’t read before and were new to me if not released this year or last, like all the reads on this list were published years ago.
