Prince Caspian [Book Review]

Prince Caspian, the fourth book in C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia, features a prince striving to reclaim his throne from a false king. Despite engaging themes and characters, it felt like the story lacked depth and pacing, leaving me wanting more from the narrative.

Book Title:
Prince Caspian

Author: C.S. Lewis

Book Saga: The Chronicles of Narnia

(Chronological Order) #4

Genres: Fantasy. Classics. Children. Young Adult (Maybe). Fiction.

Book Description:

Narnia . . . a realm where animals converse . . . where trees stride with purpose … where a decisive battle looms on the horizon. A prince, resolute in reclaiming his rightful throne, assembles a formidable army to vanquish the false king plaguing his land. Ultimately, it will be a clash of honor between two men that will determine the fate of an entire world.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Hello, dearies! Welcome to another Narnia review!

As you might know I am reading the Narnia books, Prince Caspian, book 4 in the Series (Chronological order) was the one I had been expecting to read the most, probably because of the movie, probably because it seemed like that interesting shift into a different Narnia.

Oh, spoilers alert btw, so if you don’t know about the story or haven’t watched the movies, be warned there will be spoilers.

So, I wanted to read Prince Caspian since I started with The Magician’s Nephew, but by the time I finished reading this book, I literally said: come on!

Let me tell you what happened.

Mags, Finnick, or Johanna? Who deserves the next Hunger Games book?

Are we finally getting a Finnick Odair or Mags prequel? I am breaking down the latest Hunger Games rumors and exploring which Victor’s era of Panem actually deserves the next book.

Hello, dearies!

Welcome to a rant on The Hunger Games and the upcoming (not official) next books. I am doing this because I saw a post on IG about the ‘rumours’ of Finnick Odair’s prequel book, this is not an official announcement, not one that I have seen at least.

So, I am a seeker, and I immediately went and looked for it to see if Suzanne Collins had made an official announcement about the next book, there is none.

The current one: Sunrise on the Reaping, it is barely getting the movie out this year, if and when (they probably will) announce a new prequel, it might not be for a couple of months, now, if you know something I don’t like an interview of this year or an official news report, let me know, I am all ears and I’ll be happy about it. But no, there is no Finnick book (yet). Talked about it? The production or whoever of The Hunger Games mentioned it, yes, but that’s it.

Now, who would be deserving of this honour? Who would we want to see on the next book prequel? Probably Finnick so we can cry and be completely even more traumatised than we were after Haymitch’s Quarter Quell book, wow, that was rough. Who then? I did the math, and my hopes are as follow.

2026: Year of the Horse – Books to Read

Happy Lunar New Year! The Year of the Fire Horse in 2026. This year encourages courage and boldness. To celebrate, here’s a curated book list featuring horse-themed stories like “The Horse and His Boy” and “Black Beauty”.

Happy Lunar New Year, dearies!

2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, exciting? I think so, and I like the Chinese Zodiac and the Lunar New Year, I’m hooked.

So, before I go into books that have horses on the cover or are about horses, did you know this about the Chinese zodiac? I didn’t know, and I like to keep myself informed: The Year of the Horse is about energy, independence, and a restless spark for adventure. 🐎 The rare Fire Horse amplifies that spirit even more. And, it appears once every 60 years, and is associated with fierce passion, charisma, and bold, untamed ambition. In traditional lore, Fire Horse years were considered powerful and unpredictable. A year for courage, risk, and charging toward new horizons. 🔥✨

So, this 2026 is a fierce one that we can definitely look forward to enjoying and having a spark of adventure. Alright, enough astrology, let’s do books!

First, you can check the list in video:

If you’re here for my ranting on words, to read, here are a few books that I found, and one that it is actually in my online bookshelf.

14 Book Characters to Fall For Time after Time

Who is your favourite book character? Check out some of mine

Happy Valentine’s Day, dearies!

I’ll add a couple of female leads this time because I feel like I have more to name now then other years when I did similar lists.

So, we have a variety in 2026. And I’ll start with the girls from Shadowhunters because they are my favourite characters by far.

emma hyacinth card

Emma Carstairs

The Dark Artifices. Even at 12 years old she was already badass, and then came TDA trilogy and I was hooked for good.

lightwood

Izzy Lightwood

The Mortal Instruments. Well, from the start Izzy was my favourite and as the story progressed she only grew in my eyes.

Tessa Gray

The Infernal Devices. Tessa is badass when she wants to. And not just because she is the get two guys for one girl, she has power (abilities) and knows how to use it. 😄

alice cullen at school

Alice Cullen

Twilight. Do I need to say more? Alice is probably one of the best characters in the whole Twilight Saga, no comparison needed.

scarlet wolf

Scarlet

The Lunar Chronicles. Scarlet from TLC because she is cool 😎  and I like the book.

Rue

The Smoke Thief.

I decided to create my own book fanart for Rue. This is from one of the first scenes of the book before we learnt more about her, but soon after wow, she is strong, charismatic, and witty. I like that in a lead. 🙂

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe [Book Review]

I cannot believe it took me that long to read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and that I did not like it as much as The Magician’s Nephew…

Book Title: The Magician’s Nephew

Author: C.S. Lewis

Book Saga: The Chronicles of Narnia

(Chronological Order) #2

Genres: Fantasy. Classics. Children. Young Adult (Maybe). Fiction.

Book Description: At first, no one believes Lucy when she tells of her adventures in the land of Narnia. But soon Edmund, and Peter and Susan discover the Magic and meet Aslan, too, the Great Lion. Then their lives are changed forever.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Hello, dearies!

I started reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in July 2025, and finished in December. Now, under other circumstances, I would have said a number of things that led me to take that long in reading a short book, because it is shorter than others. But the truth is, I kept putting it off, picking it and reading about 4% before leaving it for weeks.

My point is, it took me a while, and it was not a happy towards the end, like: wow, I’m so glad I read it at last. It was more like: Finally, I finished and can move on to the others. In any case, here’s how it went.

The Book and Me

Yes, you know I don’t do reviews on books that I don’t recommend, or liked to some extent, and I am not saying I didn’t like the story entirely, or that it held so much of the same things as the movie, which I have watched countless times. But, I just didn’t feel like it was up to the hype that it had before, or still has now.

And when it was time to put stars in it? I felt the societal pressure, of why are you not putting 4 or 5 in it, seriously, I thought of 4, but I gave it 3 because that’s simply how it felt #sorrynotsorry.

book cover yellow: the lion the witch and the wardrobe

It was entirely by minimal things for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Unlike The Magician’s Nephew, which I was more into, and more intrigued by. But this book had good moments, and others that dragged, and the way it is narrated also bugged me a little, but I have been making my peace with it. Anyway, I did like it, but perhaps I was looking for more depth to it, and found a different style than I expected and not much of the deepness in the characters.

Book vs Movie

I suppose that the two things that I do remember that are missing from the movie, were not that important for the director and screenwriters, that is, Lucy and Susan going with Aslan to the Witch, I mean they were accompanying him and following him through the night, and how he allowed it. And then, how they went with Aslan to the Witch’s home to revive everyone.

But overall, I suppose it was a generally good adaptation, although while reading it, I did feel like there was a bit more magic and sinister tone to the book than the movie, if you ask me, but maybe that’s just me. It didn’t feel all that open, light, fantastical, but more, wow, this creepy stuff is happening in Narnia, an evil witch controls everything, and a bunch of teenagers and a kid will stop her.

It is a fantasy, “children’s” book, I know.

Anyway, that’s all I have on this book, I am reading the next one, The Horse and His Boy, as I am reading in chronological order. And I am more interested in it, even if I am also a bit slow to finish. Expect that review soon, dearies.

Thank you for sticking to the end, and don’t forget to check out the other reviews here on the blog. And also, if you have read this book, let me know in the comments.

4 Bookstores and Libraries to Visit in Seoul [Personal View]

Recently, I visited and explored some awesome bookstores in Seoul, like Arc n Book, YP Books, and Starfield. Each spot had its vibe. If you’re into books or must-see spaces, definitely check these out!

Welcome, dearies!

I’m sure you have been following this new bookish adventures series here on the blog and on YouTube, but if you haven’t there are other insights of bookstores in Seoul that I visited recently, you can check them out:

But if that’s too much, I have compiled it all here today, what was it like going to each of these bookstores? It was certainly a magical and want-to-repeat experience for me.

Also, there’s a special one that I had not mentioned before, check out the view inside Bluesquare later.

What is a NonSense Book?

Ever read a book that made zero sense, and yet somehow felt perfect? That’s the nonsense genre, mostly…

Hello, dearies! Welcome to a new rambling about a bookish topic.

Because yes, I will ramble a little bit. Did you know that there is a book genre that is called: nonsense or non-essential? I didn’t know it was called that, but I have read the main book in this category, and you might have as well.

But alright, let’s first answer a few things, like what it is, and what it means when reading.

2025 Blog Recap

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

Hello, dearies! Happy New Year!

2026 is the Year of the Horse, did you know? I didn’t, but now I do. So, expect a horse-related book listing coming soon to accompany the one from the 2024 Year of the Dragon book list and the 2025 Year of the Snake book list.

But for now, let’s focus on what happened in the blog in 2025, here’s the blog recap.

January 2025

I started the year strong reading and finishing books that had been on my TBR list for ages like Beautiful Burn and A Beautiful Funeral by Jamie McGuire, but even when I wanted to be the trend of the year, later on it decreased in intensity, you’ll see.

February 2025

“...everything burns when a star dies.” Whoa, you might recognise that one from The Mystery of Aaravos, which I finished watching by Feb. Also, I did a special one for romance (Valentine’s) and finally shared my first impressions about Arc n’ Book in Seoul (that’s a bookstore).

March 2025

Wow, March was a more active month it would seem, it’s fun to go back and see what I was talking about months ago, starting with Sunrise on the Reaping, the list of books that have snakes in the title or in them, a couple of listings that were the 9 books I would re-read without question, and 5 K-Dramas to Watch.

But that was not all, I also talked about what Bu Bu Jing Xin is, a novel in which Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo is based on (that’s a Korean drama). And I continued my obsession with Horimiya as well, do you like that anime? I find it fascinating, it’s a short one so you can watch it in a weekend, I have spoilers for it and also chatted about whether Horimiya is an acquired taste or not. However, if you are more interested in travel and bookish stuff, there is the YP Books tour that I did.

April 2025

This one also featured a bookish travel entry, but for Starfield in Seoul and Suwon, yes, there are two of these libraries and it was amazing in both places.

I also went back to a throwback with a beloved short story collection as The Bane Chronicles is, this review was for The Fall of the Hotel Dumort, but I also did one for City of Ashes, which will be on the podcast soon.

And because I couldn’t stop talking about Sunrise on the Reaping just yet, I did a Spoiler Sunday special of the book.

May 2025

May was also a busier month than others, with some book challenges and book reviews for: Avenged by an Angel and Beyond the Wand (Tom Felton’s book).

But there is also a behind-the-scenes look at my bookshelves and how I reorganised them back then.

June 2025

June was less post-heavy but there was news about the upcoming The Lunar Chronicles movie, so of course, I had to talk about that. I also finished reading: Seduced by a Demon King. And did a list of books that are still on my TBR and I keep saying I will read them soon. I haven’t, yet.

July 2025

Going into July and realising that I finished The Magician’s Nephew half a year ago is almost scary, because I only just finished The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe recently, so, it took me a while to finish it. But there were also a couple of book challenges if you’re interested in doing some: Find That Book pt.2.

August 2025

Almost over with the year, in August there were not that many posts from me, sorry about that, but I did finish reading: Scorched by Darkness.

And season 3 of EachPage Flow (my podcast) began.

September 2025

Crickets… nothing posted in September, sorry, I was travelling.

October 2025

In October I chatted about one of my favourite k-dramas watched in 2025: The Potato Lab. And then talked again about Beautiful Disaster because, why not? This time, there were some spoilers in it.

Oh, and I also went back in time and chatted about The Chamber of Secrets once again because it is the Wizarding World and the podcast featuring an episode about it.

November 2025

Oh, I only gave spoilers about Furuba (Fruits Basket), because I saw some things online that made me want to type out and rant about it.

December 2025

And with that, December was already upon me and I realised that I had been super busy in the last quarter of the year, so only some time for The Hunger Games Throwback and talking about another anime that I liked and wanted to ramble about: Classroom of the Elite season 3.

And that was it for my blog in 2025, eachpage.org is still here for everyone who loves books, anime, TV Shows, movies, and more. Thank you for all this wonderful time, dearies! I truly appreciate the love, the returning viewers, and the new ones.

With that, don’t forget to follow, like, and share the blog to other who’d love to know more. Have a great start to 2026.
