romance fantasy regency books

If you read… then you should read… 👀 📚

Hello, dearies!

I know, it has been some time since I published a new one, and this one not even a review? The horror!

I have been working in my mundane job, and my reading has been the lowest in months. I am supposed to be reading The Brightest Night (which I have loved so far) but I stopped before half of it was over because I want a clearer mind to pay attention to it, so you might say that I am in a reading slump. Nothing to do with my last read, I love the Origin and Lux world.

Now, as you might know, I have never done one of this “if you read this, you should (would love) read” thing, I myself don’t usually follow that kind of thought. But I wanted to suggest some titles for those who have read The Duke and I, because honestly, there are other books out there that have a spicier plot than that one.

So here we go. I will give you a few book titles that you can add to your endless TBR list. This in no particular order, and also there could be a fantasy/romance or two thrown in there.

Let us begin. 📖

A Persistent Attraction by Silvia Violet

persistent attraction

Their wicked desire sparks a game of passion that could claim their hearts. If a killer doesn’t first claim their lives. At first, Amanda Halverston assumes the anonymous extortion letter she’s received is a harmless prank. But the following night she is attacked and nearly killed. Desperate for help in finding her attacker, she turns to the notorious rake she has avoided for the last five months, Rhys Stanton.

Wolf Caller by Silvia Violet

silvia violet wolf caller book 1

Seven Years to Sin by Sylvia Day

seven years to sin sylvia day cover

Description:

Seven years ago, on the eve of her wedding, Lady Jessica Sheffield witnessed a scene so scandalous she could not erase it from her memory. Shocked, yet strangely titillated, she nevertheless walked down the aisle into a life serene yet unremarkable. But what she kept hidden fueled wildly imaginative and very illicit dreams. . .

Book Review for Seven Years to Sin.

Intimate Enemies by Shana Abé

intimate enemies book shana-abe

Description:

Lauren MacRae is only a woman. But her father’s death has left her the leader of the Clan MacRae. Now it is up to her to defend her beloved Isle of Shot from the invading Northmen, even if it means going to her clan’s sworn enemy, the powerful English overlord, Arion du Morgan, for help.

Book Review for Intimate Enemies.

The Smoke Thief by Shana Abé

smoke thief fantasy

Description:

For centuries they’ve lived in secret among northern England’s green and misted hills. Creatures of extraordinary beauty, power, and sensuality, they possess the ability to shape-shift from human to dragon and back again. Now their secret—and their survival—is threatened by a temptation that will break every boundary.

Book Review for the Drakon Series, including The Smoke Thief (Book 1). 💕

Start with those 5, trust me, you won’t regret that, and as a bonus, some of those are only the beginning in a series, so you will come back for more.

Now, a question, do you know any of these authors? Let me know. And if you would like to know other titles from these authors that I recommend or related to these genres, I’d love to hear from you, either here or on Instagram.

I hope you enjoyed this quick list and that you found something new to read.

Happy reading! 🌼

First Reads during the New Year 📚

🎉🎈Happy 2021 🎉🎈

Hello, dearies! I hope your New Year’s holiday was full of light and safety. It seems that’s what we’re wishing these days, but that’s life during pandemics.

Did you read a lot? I started reading (again… *cough* again a second time) The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon, aka Outlander 5 and I want to finish this want, but it’s long, and I haven’t had the focus to really enjoyed, I started in December but didn’t continue because there were too many distractions, family and work and you know the drill, the mundane who would not let you sit down and enjoy the book. So, I started a secondary book that ought to be shorter and quicker, and well, I’m still reading it, though I’d had a few good laughs, it’s completely different from TFC, I don’t know if you watched the movie (I have, a couple of times) but I’m reading Confessions of a Shopaholic, and it’s quite funny to see how Rebbeca finds excuses in the oddest most absurd ways to buy something, which I suppose is the point but in the book is so much in your face then it’s in the movie, but I am not reviewing right now, I was telling a story of what I’m reading, and those are the two on my phone. As for paperbacks, I have The Red Scrolls of Magic, Magnus and Alec from the Shadowhunters world, which I really, really want to read but I also want to concentrate on it. And I have a hardcover, The Brightest Night, this one, I’m more afraid than anything else to read because I feel like I’m going to be absorbed completely, and also I may cry and laugh in equal amounts.

But those are the ones I have at the top of the TBR, I’m leaving the list of these 4 next, in case you want to add them to your own list.

2009 Reads

This was going to be all the books I was reading in 2009 but now let us say a decade or so ago. I cannot really remember what I had in my hands back then, I was actually shock when I realised that Twilight was a decade ago, but then I started to think back and tried to remember what I really was reading and could not actually recall, thought I will do my best to name some titles here.
