TBT: Catching Fire

The 75th Hunger Games is the closest we had to the 50th Hunger Games for a long time, and no surprise it was one of the most fav reads. Catching Fire TBT is in session!

Hello, dearies! 🔥

Are you excited about Sunrise on the Reaping? The movie is growing closer, yet, not fast enough.

With it. We keep going back to the 50th Hunger Games and of course, Haymitch, and naturally to Catching Fire (The 75th Hunger Games), in the little bit of the book when Katniss and Peeta watched the recording of Haymitch’s games as they were going on their way to The Capitol.

TBT: The Hunger Games [THG Book 1]

“Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.”

Hello, dearies!

Happy Hunger Games!

That’s not it, I mean, hello, it’s been a while, and welcome to a new Throwback Thursday!

Have you read The Hunger Games trilogy? Or book 1: The Hunger Games?

It can be confusing when talking about it.

I have read it but one time, and it was enough for me. I did like it, of course, and I was surprised because I first hadn’t wanted to read because of how Katniss says things, her POV and voice were a bit strange for me at first.

But I got used to it.

I have a full review for all three books in the trilogy here on the blog. But, today is the Throwback Thursday of THG because it’s been so long since I read this book, and because I felt like rambling a bit about it.

The Bane Chronicles: The Fall of the Hotel Dumort

“What do you do?” the woman asked.
“This and that,” Magnus said.

TBT: The Smoke Thief

‘Creatures of extraordinary beauty, power, and sensuality, they possess the ability to shape-shift from human to dragon and back again. Now their secret—and their survival—is threatened by a temptation that will break every boundary.’

Hello, dearies! 🐲

It’s been a while since I did a TBT, but recently I have been feeling that longing to re-read a good book and one that I have loved for a while is The Smoke Thief by Shana Abé.

This was the first book I read by this author I think 10 years ago or so, wow! I did not expect to think back and see that it has been that long since I first picked up and only after a small description and learning that it was about dragons, that was more than enough for me.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: TBT

‘It was much pleasanter at home,’ thought poor Alice, ‘when one wasn’t always growing larger and smaller, and being ordered about by mice and rabbits. I almost wish I hadn’t gone down that rabbit-hole — and yet — and yet — it’s rather curious, you know, this sort of life! I do wonder what can have happened to me! When I used to read fairy-tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one! There ought to be a book written about me, that there ought! And when I grow up, I’ll write one.’

Author: Lewis Carroll

Genre: Nonsense Literature, Fantasy, Adventure

When did I read it? Ages ago.

Hello, dearies! 🫖

When I was little, I loved watching the Disney movie of Alice in Wonderland. Just a fun fact for you.

I didn’t read the book until my teenage days and found it as nuts as you can imagine.

It’s not bad. It’s just a lot of things happening.

TBT: The Awakening

Elena:
Searching for the ultimate thrill, she vowed to have Stefan.

Series: The Vampire Diaries

Book: The Awakening

Author: L.J Smith

This one won’t be easy.

Hello, dearies! 🦇

While I love The Vampire Diaries series, because I do, I think that out of the YA vampire books I’ve read or tried to, this is my favourite because the Salvatore brothers, I mean the story behind it is cool.

But, the first four books of the Series are not on my 5 stars list, the last 3 books on the other hand, yes, I can get behind and the story there it’s just great.

TBT: Gilmore Girls

“Well, you know my babbling capabilities are infinite.”

Hi, dearies! ☕

Wow, where do I even start with this one? Gilmore Girls is a freaking religion on its own, and if you’re a fan like me then you know that one little post won’t do it justice.

I re-watch Gilmore Girls at least once a year, it just happens, sometimes twice, skipping some episodes at times and others watching the whole thing.

Flashback: The 5th Wave

“You can only call someone crazy if there’s someone else who’s normal. Like good and evil. If everything was good, then nothing would be good.”

Hello, dearies! 📙

This is not a book review.

Here we are again, another week, another throwback or flashback as it is, a Friday Flashback. Last week, I started this little section with a review (sort of) for The Bane Chronicles: Saving Raphael Santiago, which marked the first look into the past, and it was a TBT.

Now, this week I decided to go with a book that I loved in the past, and on the second round of reading it, The 5th Wave. I have a review already for this back, and it was done a long time ago, you can check it out here: The 5th Wave review.

This time around, I wanted to talk about some of the characters and the story. Let’s begin. 📚
