Hi, dearies! ☕
Wow, where do I even start with this one? Gilmore Girls is a freaking religion on its own, and if you’re a fan like me then you know that one little post won’t do it justice.
I re-watch Gilmore Girls at least once a year, it just happens, sometimes twice, skipping some episodes at times and others watching the whole thing.
This amazing show about the relationship between a mother in her daughter, and all they go through in a little town is one of the best shows of our generation. It first aired in 2000 and the last episode was in 2007. For six seasons you could see how it would all be, but then season 7 took a turn and well then it was done.
Anyway, that’s not what we are here today, but to say that Gilmore Girls is awesome, if you ever ask me to recommend an old TV Series I would say this one, and have no regrets about it. Season 1 is my favourite, to be honest, but then season 5 is pretty awesome too.
You will arrive on episode 1 at this little town called Stars Hollow and soon start working your way through all of it, and meet a bunch of charismatic characters, and a woman named Lorelai Gilmore who’s obsessed with coffee and her daughter Rory Gilmore (or Lorelai Gilmore, her mom named her after herself), in any case, from there it’s all a fun story of moving to a new school, not having money enough money for fancy stuff, living a simple life, discovering how rich Lorelai’s parents are, Rory’s first love, and so and on.
The story just sucks you in and you want to know more about it. It was not my intention to make this sound like a review for the show, but I’ve never spoken of it in the blog, and if you never watched it then I wanted to let you know more about it. You may know that there is also a special on Netflix ‘A Year in the Life’ ages after the events of the last episode of the original series, all actors are back or most of them, and you spent a year in Stars Hollow, getting re-acquainted with everyone.
So, yes, I love GG some of my favourite phrases and funny moments in my daily life can include quotes from it, my sister and me both watched the show from the first time it came out, and back then, no internet in my home, we had to wait week by week for new episodes. I felt kind of old saying that lol. 😂
But anywho, I don’t get tired of this one so I wanted to make a special weekly throwback for it, and this Thursday was its lucky day. I hope you enjoyed this bit of rambling, not a review but a review of Gilmore Girls, and if you have watched it before I hope you enjoyed checking out some memories from the past, and if you have never watched it before, then you should, it’s on Netflix.
