Hello, dearies! 🔥
Are you excited about Sunrise on the Reaping? The movie is growing closer, yet, not fast enough.
With it. We keep going back to the 50th Hunger Games and of course, Haymitch, and naturally to Catching Fire (The 75th Hunger Games), in the little bit of the book when Katniss and Peeta watched the recording of Haymitch’s games as they were going on their way to The Capitol.
And then that was that.
The rest of Catching Fire is more about alliances, who is good, how angry the other victors are for being thrown back into the Arena, and how Katniss will save the world. (Typical Dystopia plotting).
I did like this book though, even if I haven’t re-read it, I might before the movie in November. And also, I kind of remember more of the arena and the games then I do of the other books, take what you will from that. Maybe it was better, maybe I liked it more. If I read again, I’ll let you know for sure.

Book Description
What happens in Catching Fire?
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and her longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol—a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.
Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest that she’s afraid she cannot stop. And what scares her even more is that she’s not entirely convinced she should try. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol’s cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. If they can’t prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying.
This was a short one, I know! More of a literal trip down memory lane for this Throwback Thursday than anything else, we know by now how it goes and if you are a solely movie-watcher, that’s still plenty to be excited about what is coming next in this universe.
