Prince Caspian [Book Review]

Prince Caspian, the fourth book in C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia, features a prince striving to reclaim his throne from a false king. Despite engaging themes and characters, it felt like the story lacked depth and pacing, leaving me wanting more from the narrative.

Book Title:
Prince Caspian

Author: C.S. Lewis

Book Saga: The Chronicles of Narnia

(Chronological Order) #4

Genres: Fantasy. Classics. Children. Young Adult (Maybe). Fiction.

Book Description:

Narnia . . . a realm where animals converse . . . where trees stride with purpose … where a decisive battle looms on the horizon. Ultimately, it will be a clash of honor between two men that will determine the fate of an entire world.

Hello, dearies! Welcome to another Narnia review!

As you might know I am reading the Narnia books, Prince Caspian, book 4 in the Series (Chronological order) was the one I had been expecting to read the most, probably because of the movie, probably because it seemed like that interesting shift into a different Narnia.

Oh, spoilers alert btw, so if you don’t know about the story or haven’t watched the movies, be warned there will be spoilers.

So, I wanted to read Prince Caspian since I started with The Magician’s Nephew, but by the time I finished reading this book, I literally said: come on!

Let me tell you what happened.

11 Books with Dark Covers [That are not Mystery]

A collection of dark-covered books that pull you into worlds of magic, danger, and at times chaos, the kind you pick up for the cover… and stay for everything inside.

Hello, dearies!

Following my Blue Covers book challenge, I decided to take a turn at darker tones and hues and check for dark coloured book covers, but, these are not mystery or suspense, but fantasy or magical.

Do you have your bookshelves organised by colour? I do it sometimes.

It was not so easy as you might think to find these 11 books, but I like research, so here’s the list, you can add it to your TBR or collect these books to make your bookshelves look striking or gothic-like. 📖

The Horse and His Boy [Book Review]

Going into an adventure close to Narnia but not quite there, yet. The Horse and His Boy takes us through the desert with a talking horse.

Author: C.S. Lewis

Genres: Fantasy, Classics, Fiction, Young Adult

Series: The Chronicles of Narnia Book #3

(Chronological Order)

Year published: 1954

Page count: 224 pages (Paperback)

My rating: 4 ⭐️

Hello, dearies!

It took me some time, yet, again to read a Narnian book, and I enjoyed it more than The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, why? I cannot tell for sure. Have you read these books? Or better question, did you read the Narnia books in publication order or chronological order?

But what is The Horse and His Boy about, truly? The condensed version, it is about a talking horse and a boy who does not know who he is. And no, that is not spoiler as the book description says this specifically.

So, after reading the book, I was glad, but at the same time took a moment to consider whether I liked it or not, and that has been the theme with these Narnian books, this is the third one (I’m reading in chronological order), and all had been: hmm did I like it?

Honestly, yes, I am enjoying the stories, not so much the narrative, because C.S. Lewis, put my reader’s patience to the test with the strange wording and point of view.

Friday Flashback: The Chamber of Secrets

“A rift began to grow between Slytherin and the others. Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts.”

Welcome, dearies! 🍁

Another Friday, another Flashback, this one for Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, book 2 of the Wizarding Saga.

To go along with the newest episode of the podcast: Ep. 2 of Season 3 of EachPage Flow, I decided to go back to The Chamber of Secrets, but there were two things I didn’t say on the podcast because they skipped my mind as I was rambling about the book.

Sorry, there is a lot on my mind.

You can check out the full episode below, I put it here because I’m nice like that. 🙂

So, the dueling club at Hogwarts started by Lockhart, and the introduction to the word ‘mudblood’ or how pure-blooded families see those born of Muggles but with the gift of magic like: Hermione Granger. These are the two things that I later thought, oh wait, I missed something.

Alright, first dueling.

Hello, dearies! Welcome to my first ever C.S. Lewis book review. 😮

That’s right I had never read The Chronicles of Narnia or any book by this author. But I decided this year that it was time, it had gone long enough, and frankly, I opened the book and started reading without giving it too much thought.

And that was eye-opening for me. But first let me tell my first impressions of reading The Magician’s Nephew, which was not what I was expecting in many ways.

Mystery of Aaravos Season 7 [The Dragon Prince]

‘…everything burns when I star dies.’

Finally finished watching the whole season! 🐉

Where do I even start? Honestly, it didn’t feel like an ending of a show or series, or this part. It felt like a season finale.

But will there be a new Dragon Prince? Or just a new show within the same universe?

Well, it is more along the lines of: Aaravos saga or arc ended here on season 7, book: Dark

So Far: This is the truth of Harry Potter’s Upcoming Max TV Series

“Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.”

Alright, I give. 🥹

This is what is happening with the upcoming Harry Potter TV Show on Max.

Fine, I’ll talk about it if it is happening and Summer of 2025 will mark the start of the production.

I’m just saying all of this because I have seen a lot of fakes news, videos, and text around that it is simply outrageous. So, all the information here comes from the official website harrypotter.com. 📚

Friday Flashback: The Neverending Story

“People who have no hopes are easy to control; and whoever has the control has the power.”

Woah! I went back a lot with this one. 📺

I rewatched this movie (The NeverEnding Story) countless time when I was a kid, could be one of the first fantasy ones that got to me.

It has everything…

But did you know that this is a book adaptation? Yes! It is for a 1979 novel, called The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, and it is German. 📖

Game of Thrones Spin-Offs Fans Would Watch Over ‘Dunk and Egg’

A new show is coming in 2025 related to GOT, HoTD and ASOIAF, but who is this knight and why make a story of him? Wouldn’t another story be better? Perhaps.

Hello, everyone! ⭐

Welcome to a Special from the pages of GOT and ASOIAF. 🐲

There are spoilers here if you don’t know about the stories related to A Song Of Ice and Fire, but only have watched House of The Dragon or Game of Thrones. 👑

I saw the trailer, tease or whatever you want to call it for Max’s new TV Series (Show) related to ‘Dunk and Egg’, which is a side-side-side story related to A Song of Ice and Fire, and somewhat mentioned (very little) on Game of Thrones. It’ll be called: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and it will premiere sometime in 2025.

Emma Carstairs

Who is Emma Carstairs? I hope this answers your question… she is awesome and she is a Shadowhunter.

And I thought that Izzy Lightwood was a badass, Emma took the prize and made me rethink it all.

When I first read Lady Midnight, I was not expecting to find such a wonderfully created character as Emma.

Before that, when I read City of Heavenly Fire, I don’t think I paid much attention, Emma was there and she was cool but I was focused on the Blackthorns. But then came the trilogy that changed all of that. I still love the Blackthorns, don’t get me wrong but Emma Carstairs is just a big part of it as well…
