Voyeur Series

“Complicated, shmomplicated,” she said, waving her hand. ”If you love her, you make it work.”

Author: Fiona Cole

Genre: Adult fiction. Romance. New Adult.

Where to start? I suppose from how I got here? Oh well, I first read the description for the sixth book in the series, Teacher, and was intrigued as hell, then I saw it was a whole series, and of course, I couldn’t read the last one first, so it began my journey.

The Voyeur Series has 6 books and a short story that you can read for free here.

Beautiful Disaster

“It wasn’t just me, and it wasn’t just him, it was what we were together that was the exception.”
Many little quotes like this make it a great read.

Author: Jamie McGuire

Genre: Romance, New Adult, Contemporary, Fiction, YA

I cannot believe I don’t have a post for this one. And honestly, all that I remember is that I loved at the time, despite being kind of a regular one, a romance, yes, but no fantasy in there. Yet, it hooked me for a time. 💞

Now, there is a movie in the making, and for some reason, I am excited about it. I am not feeling the actors that much, but I want to watch. Filming ends this week, and Jamie has been giving us regular news on it, and it’s making me want to read the book again. There are two sides of Beautiful Disaster, from Abby’s point of view and from Travis’, and the one from Travis freaking Maddox was too much excitement. I mean, he is on my list of favourite male characters in books, so there I admit that bad boys do hold their appeal.

If you read The Duke and I then you should read… 👀 📚

If you read the Duke and I then you should probably/would probably read these romance books.

Hello, dearies!

I know, it has been some time since I published a new one, and this one not even a review? The horror!

I have been working in my mundane job, and my reading has been the lowest in months. I am supposed to be reading The Brightest Night (which I have loved so far) but I stopped before half of it was over because I want a clearer mind to pay attention to it, so you might say that I am in a reading slump. Nothing to do with my last read, I love the Origin and Lux world.

The Duke and I

The Duke and I, the book that made it impossible for me to read anything else for a month and the one who I could have finished in two days.

⭐⭐⭐

Author: Julia Quinn

Bridgertons Series Book 1

Genre: Romance, Historical Romance, Regency, Adult (sort of)

Guess what? This rarely happens to me, but it took me over a month to read The Duke and I, shocking! I know. 📖😵

And I finish half the book and a night and a morning, with some hours of sleep in between and also like an hour of work thrown in there. I mean, it’s outrageous to believe that for the whole of February, I didn’t feel the need to pick up the book, and when I did, I often put it down after a few pages because I would drift very often and not know what I was reading, the words would not compute.

I’m sorry for this author, JQ, but maybe it’s something in her narrative, and I’m sorry for all the fans out there, but it’s the truth. Alright, alright. I will begin to talk a bit more about the plot and story and will also compare it with the Netflix show, I watched it before reading this. So… possible spoilers ahead.👀

A Lion’s Pride – First Three

I finished these three in a few days because they’re quite the quick read, oh yes, I just jumped in this time, don’t worry there are no spoilers on this. Anyway, A Lion’s Pride the Series by Eve Langlais are a fun read like most of Eve’s books, I have read tons by her, even though I don’t have the reviews here on the blog, they get me out of book-slumps, book-hangovers, and the sort, they made me get going and jump into other series.

Genre: Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance

Hello, dearies! How is December going? Mine is a bit cold and expecting it to be colder as the 24th approaches.

This one will be short as the previous, sorry if I have been a little absent from social media and given quick reviews but work has been full-time, and sleep not so constant, yet, here we are again with another set of books.

A Rose in Winter

The great thing about Shana Abe’s books, is that in the end, you end up liking them, in some way or another.

Author: Shana Abe

Genres: Historical, Romance, European Literature, Fiction, Adult

The great thing about Shana Abe’s books, is that in the end, you end up liking them, in some way or another. Of course, nothing compares to The Drakon Series, which I still believe to be greatest ones I’ve read by her, next to The Sweetest Dark books, but A Rose in Winter had me from ugh to ooh to aww to wow, I did not give it 5 stars because there was not that total awesome and abandonment into it that had drawn me to other books, but I enjoyed it enough, and if you brave it out through the middle of it, then you’re good at the end, it was a nice ending and there a plot twist here and there that I didn’t expect.

Oh, the main character’s name is Damon, so, of course, I had to go on reading until I knew how it all ended.

This one is quite short since I just thought to share with you guys this rather quick read I had, I mean according to my ebook reader, it took me about 9 hours to finish the book, and that divided in several days, which mean I could have finished the book in a day if I had had the time to do as much. That’s it for now. I hope you found a new book to read. You can read the description here.

Outlander Series: (Voyager + Drums of Autumn)

Author: Diana Gabaldon

I should probably start off with Voyager, and I will try to look pass the things that I did not enjoy.

I read it fast and not just because it was the first book of the Outlander series which was completely new to me since Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber I already knew what would happen because of the TV Show, no, this one I read really fast because of the parts where Claire was on her own, those blurred.

Spoilers ahead if you have not read these 2 books, kindly stop if you have not read.

List of Favourite Characters and Books

There are times when my feelings are not that this book is better than the other, I am mostly inclined to believe that all books have their own little things, different details that make them unique and I do not like comparing them to each other.

The same happens with the characters, specially the male characters clearly, which is why I decided to compile them all up in one place, though it has been sometime since I last read the books, the characters still continue to be a presence. Here is a list of my top characters and books but it is not yet complete.
