5 eBooks that You didn’t know Existed

Probably.

Hello, dearies! As I mentioned before, Smashwords is having a week of deals for eBooks, you can find from 25% to 100% off so don’t be afraid to stop by it and take a look at the authors there, some like myself are self-published, and it’s a great place to let your stories be known.

Now, I found these titles that I think might be of interest to you, well, I thought that I could add them to my never-ending TBR list but that’s me. Check them out. (If you want any, you can click on the title for it and you’ll be directed to the site).

Confessions of a Shopaholic [Book Review]

“Life would be a lot easier if conversations were rewindable and erasable, like videos. Or if you could instruct people to disregard what you just said, like in a courtroom.”

Author: Sophie Kinsella

⭐⭐⭐

Genre: Women’s Fiction, Chick Lit, Humor, Romance

That was not what I was expecting one bit. This is what happens when you read a book after you have watched the movie so many times that you almost now the dialogues of it.

But this does not mean I didn’t enjoy Confessions of a Shopaholic. I quite liked this book if not loved it. It made me laugh and seeing how Rebecca Bloomwood made excuses after excuses to buy anything was unbelievable. I suppose that is really how a shopaholic would be.

Some spoilers might be ahead, be wary.

Izzy Lightwood

“I’m pure at heart.”
Total Badass chick and Shadowhunter warrior.

Total Badass chick and Shadowhunter warrior.

Names: Isabelle Lightwood. Izzy. Iz.

Book? More like bookS: The Mortal Instruments. Other Shadowhunter Novels.

Will not talk about Emeurade Toubia, awesome girl who portrayed her on Shadowhunters TV, mostly because Izzy’s story on the show was so completely weird, and twisted at various points, they changed the character.

But in the books? Warrior. A great role-model. Funny. Compassionate. Passionate. Hot. I mean, Izzy is one of the first characters you fall for in the books, even before, Alec and Jace, or Clary, who I didn’t like very much at first.

Jack

Jack, he is the first character you meet in the story and well, you want to smack him over the head, for real, he got on my nerves for many chapters, in fact, I think I didn’t like him that much until book 2 (Triad), and by Pantheon (the third book) as I mentioned, then I said, alright Jack, you’re good.

Hello, dearies! This is Sela here, and I’m giving in, I’m dedicating one to Jack from The Idhun Chronicles because when I re-read Pantheon (the third book), I realized that he had his moments.

And I have been asked about Victoria and Kirtash, and Jack, though I am not going to answer that spoiler-full question, but I am going to talk about Jack and some important facts from the books, so you might as well stop right now if you don’t want to know like this is my warning that there are spoilers ahead. 👀

About Christopher Herondale

“There were valuable first editions of books in the enormous library, most of them had been scribbled in by some idiot named Will H.”

Alright, I am going to do it. I have to do it. If you do not know who Christopher Herondale is, then by all means either do not read this one or read away because you want some Spoiler from The Dark Artifices and The Lost Herondale legend.

Stars Above – 1.5 and 3.1

The Queen’s Army and Carswell Guide to Being Lucky. Two stories that moved me in different ways.

Series: The Lunar Chronicles

Author: Marissa Meyer

This one will be short and sweet, just wanted to showcase these 2 stories in the Stars Above compilation.

This may contain spoilers for those who had not read any of The Lunar Chronicles books. Beware.

The Queen’s Army (The Lunar Chronicles #1.5)

While I love these books, there is also something very savage about the Lunar stories. Worst of them all is seeing what children in Luna go through, like with this one and what Ze’ev had to face.

The Lunar Chronicles 4: Winter ❄️

It doesn’t usually happen that I find a book to have me gaping, almost screaming, nearly crying, laughing, insulting the characters, but the best ones do, or at least does that make you go in and be part of the story for real, feel all that they are feeling, intense, magical, heartwarming, all those little things we feel while reading Winter.

Series: The Lunar Chronicles

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Author: Marissa Meyer

Genre: Sci-fi, fantasy, romance (sort of), YA, Dystopia, Retellings

I think this is going to take a little while to come together.

After all the scary moments, all the times I said, this is it, this is where she kills them, her, him, one of them is going to be left alone and wandering without love, then another of my fav would come into the scene and there I was again thinking the same, what a rollercoaster.

The Lunar Chronicles 3: Cress

It doesn’t usually happen, but Marissa sometimes manages to shock me and made me scream and curse at the pages of books, and I had some of those moments with Cress. And the last page took me by surprise, I was so engrossed in it, that I turned and when I saw the Acknowledgements page my jaw fell. I knew I would finish this book way too quickly

The Idhun Chronicles

Overall? I would watch it again and that means it was good the first time. Pretty close to the books.

Where? Netflix

Based on the books by Laura Gallego – Memorias de Idhún

Season 1 – so far

Alright, let’s do this while it’s fresh. As in, I just finished watching season 1, tonight, not long ago.

Starting now, and if you haven’t read or watched this, don’t worry there are no spoilers on this one.

Ghosts of the Shadow Market: The Wicked Ones

It took me a while to read this one, but I did so enjoyed it and in the end, it led to what we already knew. But while reading The Wicked Ones, I was actually trying to remember about what little information I had on Céline Montclaire.

Book: Ghosts of the Shadow Market

Authors: Cassie Clare & Robin Wasserman

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Drama

It took me a while to read this one, but I did so enjoyed it and in the end, it led to what we already knew. But while reading The Wicked Ones, I was actually trying to remember about what little information I had on Céline Montclaire and as such I will now share my in-the-moment thoughts.

If you haven’t read this short story or don’t know about The Mortal Instruments story, I suggest you don’t continue because there are some spoilers here.

You have been warned.
