Lia and Zane

‘Lia can hear the future, much in the way she hears the call of Draumr. And in that future, she realizes that the diamond—along with the fate of the drákon—rests in the hands of a human man, one who straddles two worlds.’

Lia Langford and Zane, where to start? Where they come from? Yes, I think that should be a good start.

Please be aware that they will be spoilers here if you don’t know the characters already, go to the bottom of the post, where I will leave you a link to either a review of the book where they came from or to an outside source so you can buy it, read the book, and then come back here to chat or read about these two.

Spoilers ahead!

His Dark Materials Trilogy

“Human beings can’t see anything without wanting to destroy it. That’s original sin. And I’m going to destroy it. Death is going to die.”

Books: Northern Lights. The Subtle Knife. The Amber Spyglass

Author: Philip Pullman

Genre: Fantasy, High Fantasy, Science Fantasy

So Fantasy, yes.

I read these books a long time ago so bear with me.

The main thing I always remember about His Dark Materials books is that I found them utterly fascinating and I could not stop reading after finishing the first one, the second and third had to be read and they were far more exciting than the Northern Lights. I’m not going to go into it book by book but probably jump around between the three, I hope you are ready.

The Burning Shadow

Series: Origin

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Genre: Holy Alien Babies. Fiction. Drama. Supernatural.

Alright so, I tried to stop and give you a briefing as I was reading this one like I did with The Darkest Star, but I started in Ch 19. You’ll just have to believe that before that moment, everything was good and I couldn’t stop reading; afterward, I forced myself to stop and put down the book (The Burning Shadow obviously) to write random (not so random) notes.

Shadows

Well this was a good and bad idea for me. Not the contents of the book, that I loved, but actually starting to read it and finishing it. Let me explain better while telling you what I thought.

The Dragon Prince: Season 2

The Dragon Prince

Watch it on: Netflix

So, I didn’t do a season 1 of this one but season 2 was even greater and that’s the reason we are here today. After finishing the whole thing in a night and a morning, I have to say that is good and you should be watching.

The story

Wow, you have dragons, that’s all you need to know. Dragons in your life is all you need to be happy or at least me, just me? Okay. You have magic, and elves, and dark magic, and mixed cultures, like two Queens in a kingdom or blind people doing incredible things, or being able to talk to animals, and a magical mirror. If none of those things is your cup of tea then I cannot help right now, that’s all I got.

Alternative title: Cheeky Brat

Japanese: なまいきざかり。, lit. “Full Bloom Cheekiness”

Genres: School Life, Romance, Sports

Hello, dearies! ❤️

This one is late by a lot, though not so much considering that this is still ongoing. Alright, it is a Manga as you might have guessed by the name and it is still going, and it is completely amazing.

I cannot be sure that any of you read Manga but if you do then you would love Namaikizakari, do not let the element of sports throw you off, it is actually pretty cool and it is not the only thing the story is about. I cannot really remember how I got to it but I know that after the first two chapters I was completely hooked and Naruse is so great.

5 Game of Thrones related Books

As we all know, Game of Thrones the TV show has ended, our watch has ended, the night came with its terrors, winter came and went in a puff, and the fire and blood of the last episodes left us with a huge hole, so to fill it up let us go around and see what else is out there about this world that held us captive for almost a decade only to be completely finished in a not so-great finale.

Since we do not have the 6th Book to actually know what happens in A Song of Ice and Fire, then we turn to others to understand a bit more of it or to simply read something new, because there is always time for that. Here are 5 Books related to Game of Thrones.
