Outlander & Dragonfly in Amber “Review”

Author: Diana Gabaldon

Series: Outlander

Books: 1 & 2

Where to start? I like them enough, but I had already watched the first 2 seasons of the show, and I must say they are pretty similar to the books, I could easily picture Sam Heugham and Caitriona Balfe while reading, although Jamie is much taller in the books.

Brianna and Roger on the other hand, are nothing like in the books, sorry for the actor and actress who portray them, but they did not work for me, at the moment.

5 Quotes from Books We Love

I had to do it… these quotes still live rent-free in my mind

Hello, dearies! 📘

Welcome to a fun-loving fest of quotes, or 5 quotes that I randomly chose from books.

I was thinking about all the wonderful quotes from books that I love and decided to share a couple (alright, not a couple but 5) with you lads and lasses, simply to make your day and see if we share the same tastes.

Honestly we may love many quotes from many books, so choosing only 5 is kind of difficult but if you want more, you can always go to my Pinterest or Instagram and find more there, I might not post daily but there are some quotes there that I think you will want to share. Oh! Also my Tumblr.

Seven Years to Sin (Review… sort of)

‘Seven years ago, on the eve of her wedding, Lady Jessica Sheffield witnessed a scene so scandalous she could not erase it from her memory. Shocked, yet strangely titillated, she nevertheless walked down the aisle into a life serene yet unremarkable. But what she kept hidden fueled wildly imaginative and very illicit dreams. . .’

Author: Sylvia Day

Well, if you are into romance and historical, and as a plus adult fiction than you most definitely will absolutely love what goes down with Lady Jessica and the rather rakish Mr. Alistair Caulfield

Alright, let me be honest with this one… Sylvia Day has an excellent imagination and the few books I have read of her have been really great, she does has a lot of books under her name and reading them all in less than a month would be viable… if only the to-read list with many amazing authors and promising titles was not as long as it is.

Stardust

 Author: Neil Gaiman

Well, this is a first. I didn’t like this book as much as I suspected I would, I loved the movie is one of my favourite movies of all times, I have lost count of the times I’ve watched it, I practically know the dialogues by heart as well as the music and scenery, I love it.

But we are here, in this virtual space because of the books, books we love, books we share with others, books we share even when we don’t like them that much (even thought I do not tend share the ones I do not love). I wish I could say that I absolutely adored this read but I got to be honest, I have read better, I am not saying that Mr Gaiman is a bad a writer or nothing of the sort because he isn’t and he has incredible imagination, this is about me and the fixation I had with the movie, I suppose.  Although it really is the first time that I read something and did not find it as charming as the film.

Stitches by Shawn Mendes and Where She Went (My view)

Am I the only who listens this song and automatically thinks about Where She Went? Really, I don’t know why that book made such an impression on me, even more than If I Stay which was good, of course, but Where She Went was another level of good, maybe because it was Adam, I don’t know.

But you do know, he wrote an entire album for Mia, when she left, spoiler back there sorry, I assume that if you are reading this then you read the book and have heard the song Stitches by Shawn Mendes, which I might add (admit) I hadn’t heard before but all I could think about while listening to it, was Adam wrote songs similar to this one, at least the name is, if you have read the book then you know there is a song in Collateral Damage (Yes, the fictional album on the book by Shooting Star wrote by Adam Wilde), that is called ‘Stitch’

Special Edition: About Shadowhunters TV Cast…

I simply have to do this… Because if I don’t, then I might explode… We love The Immortal Instruments and we (fans) are hoping for the TV Series to begin in 2016, and while we do that…. Nothing, there is only this ‘at the edge of your seat’ feeling that won’t go away. The have casted some good actors, I might not agree with All of their choices but I am determined to give them all the benefit of the doubt, well there is one with whom I don’t have to do that because I am certain he’ll be great. If you haven’t read the books, I shall remind you to do so immediately because I am not holding back here…

Cast…

Katherine McNamara and Alberto Rosende will be our star and her childhood friend (I’m sorry is that spoiler? Don’t think so everyone should have read the books by now, at least one); Dominic Sherwood (Benefit of the doubt), Emeraude Toubia (BOTD), and Matthew Daddario will be portraying our lovely group of young Shadowhunters siblings (Again… this is for the fans). And Harry Shum Jr. (The one I look forward to…) will be portraying, bringing to life, making us think that a hot warlock from Brooklyn is possible, Harry as Magnus Bane, which I admit make me very happy in case you didn’t notice, I have high hopes for Harry I think he will be awesome…

Q & A with Shannon Thompson

Author of Take Me Tomorrow

Special Edition of Books Everywhere (@EachPage)

Hello, everyone. Today I bring to you a special post with a Q&A about Take Me Tomorrow and plus some interesting details about its author, awesome Shannon Thompson, who was nice enough to respond to my ramblings about the book, which if you haven’t read please go here and found out more, or read the review I made couple of days ago: Take Me Tomorrow Review. If you haven’t read the book, I strongly recommend that you do not read the upcoming lines because it may contain some spoiler. That’s it, let us start.

Q&A Take Me Tomorrow

  • Q: I am sure you’ve been asked this but, is there going to be a sequel?

Author: There is a sequel – Take Me Yesterday – as well as a third novel – Take Me Now – written, but neither have guaranteed contracts to be published. Sharing the novel around by reviewing it helps out a lot!

  • Q: Tell me, what inspired you to write about Take Me Tomorrow?

Author: Long story short, my mother was a drug addict, and she died from her addiction when I was eleven years old. Through coping, I spent a lot of time researching about drugs, drug use, drug abuse, and more. Take Me Tomorrow was born. If you want the long story, I wrote more about this on my website: Why I Write About Immigration, Drugs, and Addiction

I encourage you to visit the link and learn more.

A Dance with Dragons

A Song Of Ice and Fire #5

Author: George R. R. Martin

Since we are not getting A Song of Ice and Fire #6The Winds of Winter anytime soon, I might as well write about A Dance with Dragons, which is my favourite book so far in this saga. Especially because of Dany.

On that note, I love this one. It is quite interesting to say the least. If you are mainly a fan on the HBO Tv Series, then good for you that’s nice. However, the books? What can I say? I have a freaking main page in this blog solely dedicated to it, doesn’t that say how awesome they are? I confess I started reading the books after season one of GOT but come on, you see the series you go running face first into the books and then… nothing, you stay in limbo because Mr Martin haven’t published the 6th book.

The Time Traveler’s Wife

Author: Audrey Niffenegger

This one is difficult for me… because I could write only a couple of words and be done with it. Such as: I love this book or I like the movie.

The problem comes to whether you have read the book or watched the movie at some point. I think I’ll go with: This might Contain Spoilers, if you read something you don’t know don’t blame me. You’ve been warned!

Drákon Series

By Shana Abé

I decided to make these entries by book, why? Because they are all different, at least in character. They all have a different set of characters as the main protagonists, so this is the best way of explaining each one, also each book is great and unique; even, if they all talk about Drákon they still differ in some aspects.

I might add that they all follow a story, I have yet to read the 5th book but as far as I can tell they all have good stories, plots. Let us start with the first four books in this series.
