Hello, dearies! I hope you’re enjoying the quick reviews about the Shadowhunters world. 📖

And this is all from memory, I haven’t read this book again in a while, and it’s past time that I do because there will be another one in stores soon, and I am yet to read Chain of Iron, but I am a little afraid to do so, just like I am of finishing The Brightest Night, I want to, but then it will be all over, so I have been postponing it.

Now, for the Ghosts of the Shadow Market, which I think is on my top 5 of books that I love in the Shadow World, it was all Jem on these short stories, and you can check out my other reviews on my Shadow World section. 💘

The Bane Chronicles: The Rise of the Hotel Dumort

‘At least a pretty flapper vampire talking nonsense was better than a slobbering drunk werewolf. Magnus nodded as if listening and mentally counted the bottles of brandy and rum in the storage shelves below the bar.’

The Bane Chronicles Book #5

Authors: Cassandra Clare & Maureen Johnson

Genre: Fantasy, YA, Short Stories, Paranormal, Vampires.

Hello, dearies! 🦇

With this one, The Rise of the Hotel Dumort, we jumped ahead in time to 1929, and not only that but New York, meaning the place where The Mortal Instruments will be lively, in the future; but we are still years away from that, and we experience the Hotel Dumort and what happened to it and their vampires. 🧛

This is a tale we wanted to know about from the TMI series, where we read about the Hotel and the past, and Magnus, so we go there and check out the events. I know I’m not saying that much, but this story is worth reading for the first time with an unbias look, so I’ll leave it to Magnus to tell you the story.

Hello, dearies! How is January ending?

I managed to post more than I expected this month, so I’m happy.

I recently finished Hotel Del Luna, and I had my suspicion that I would like it but I really enjoyed it, and it was so much fun to watch with my mom, she joined me mid-story but caught on quickly, and was into the story. Is something else when the elderly love K-Dramas as much as you do, you know they’re good. 😀

The Bane Chronicles: Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale

“The marvelous thing about being a creature of the night,” she confided in a low voice, “is that one need never wear anything but evening clothes.”
Camille Belcourt

The Banes Chronicles Book 3

Authors: Cassandra Clare & Sarah Rees Brennan

Genre: YA, fantasy, Short Story, Paranormal

Here we are once again, dearies! I trust all is going well on your end, and you’re enjoying these tidbits on The Bane Chronicles, or perhaps my other reviews, they’re all on the main page, as you might know.

Now, we’re on the 3rd story in The Bane Chronicles, the one where we see vampires and Herondales, and scones too. I will always enjoy a good Herondale story, but this one was set in 1857 when even Charlotte Fairchild was a young girl, and that just makes you think how old Magnus really is, but no matter, we already knew that.

The Alchemist

Portuguese: O Alquimista

Spanish: El Alquimista

Author: Paulo Coelho

Genre: Fiction, Classics, Fantasy, Philosophy, Inspirational

Hello, dearies! 📚 🙂 I trust this new January is going superb for you or that February will bring in new things.

This one is not a review perse. It’s more of an I’ve-read-it-before, and I cannot talk about specifics or how a certain line was my absolute favourite, and the reason is that The Alchemist is one of those books that I read years ago, like ages, aeons ago.

About The Tales of Beedle the Bard

“All the old kids’ stories are supposed to be Beedle’s, aren’t they? The Fountain of Fair Fortune… Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump…”

Hello, dearies! How’s December so far?

Mine is cold. ⛄

I’ll jump right in because this one is going to be short, have you ever read The Tales of Beedle the Bard

They’re not a necessity within the wizarding world, and you can read the whole Harry Potter saga without them, but it’s nice to know those side stories that Ron told us about in book 7, spoiler? If you read and watched the movies, you know when they are mentioned.

It was nice reading these, they are short stories, and they make you go a little deeper into the magical world that we wish we were part of, though, of course, the main story that you want to read there is the Tale of the Three Brothers since on The Deathly Hallows you will want to know what three things you need to master death.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Happy Friday, dearies! Are you ready for the weekend? I am! 📕

Today, I cannot really say how this one about The Last Mermaid will go, but I have some notes that I’ll share after reading each part of this book. I must confess that for a while, I seriously considered giving it 2-3 stars because I was confused and it took me a while to finish it, but then Shana did what she does best when I’m reading her books, she managed to catch my attention each freaking time that a book part would end, oh, sorry, this one is divided in three Books (Short stories) but as it turns out they’re all related.

About La Emperatriz de los Etereos

‘Does the Ethereal Realm really exist? Is there something beyond the comfortable safety of the Caves?’

Author: Laura Gallego
