Book: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Author: JK Rowling under Newt Scamander
Genre: Fantasy
Hello, dearies! 📚
Guess what? The new Fantastic Beasts film is coming up next month, yes, that is April of 2022. Are you excited? I am. 🤩
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, or simply The Secrets of Dumbledore, will be in theatres on April 14. Directed by David Yates and screenplay by J. K. Rowling; Steve Kloves, you know that what’s happening in the movie is for real because JK has a hand on it, like she did in the past Fantastic Beasts movies.
But this isn’t about the third part of this series. It is about how it all started. With a book, of course. A book called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and one that has no story whatsoever, unless you count the side notes on the margins of it by HP and RW as the book is supposed to be Harry Potter’s property; this is how this mini book was formatted.
Okay, let’s talk, not talk about it for a spell. 📗
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
I read this one years and years ago, it came out in 2001, but I think I got a copy just before The Half-Blood Prince, or The Deathly Hallows was published, I cannot remember, I know I have it and found it a little funny and interesting to read about the magical creatures, but the comments in the margins is what gives it that extra kick.
Fantastic Beasts is a definite must in your collection, as it is Quidditch Through the Ages, which for some reason, I remember less. And of course, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, now that’s one with short stories full of magic that you half-learn in The Deathly Hallows and then want to see more of while reading the last book in the series.
But back to Fantastic Beasts, it’s a must, especially if you’d like to know more about the wizarding world and how all ‘beasts’ in it are, and if you’re a fan of the new movies, then all the more reason to have this one and learn what creatures appear in the film.
Do you have your copy? You can get one here. Or here on B&N.
But, are you going to watch the new film? I am and will try to make it to IMAX, which will be a first for me. I mean watching an HP film in IMAX, all the others were ordinary theatres.
Well, that’s it for now, dearies! Thank you for reading to the end, and thank you for coming back for more, don’t forget to check the posts I’m publishing on my BuyMeACoffe about writing.
