About The Tales of Beedle the Bard

“All the old kids’ stories are supposed to be Beedle’s, aren’t they? The Fountain of Fair Fortune… Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump…”

Hello, dearies! How’s December so far?

Mine is cold. ⛄

I’ll jump right in because this one is going to be short, have you ever read The Tales of Beedle the Bard

They’re not a necessity within the wizarding world, and you can read the whole Harry Potter saga without them, but it’s nice to know those side stories that Ron told us about in book 7, spoiler? If you read and watched the movies, you know when they are mentioned.

It was nice reading these, they are short stories, and they make you go a little deeper into the magical world that we wish we were part of, though, of course, the main story that you want to read there is the Tale of the Three Brothers since on The Deathly Hallows you will want to know what three things you need to master death.

These stories were interesting, but I think most wanted to have the Tale of the Three Brothers in their collection, I like displaying all of them. I have them in Spanish and haven’t bought the original version, yet.

The story about Three Brothers starts like this:

“There were once three brothers who were travelling along a lonely, winding road at twilight —”

And you can watch the story told by Hermione on the video up next.

There is also, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, this story was about the legacy of an old wizard who, in his generosity, uses his magic to aid the Muggles of his village. Rather than admit he is a wizard, he disguises his magic by pretending to brew wondrous medicines in an old cauldron.

And other short stories in there are Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock’s Hairy Heart.

And I said this one was going to be short, sorry for expanding on the stories there, but that’s pretty much it, they all helped understand the wizarding world better, and it was like reading Cinderella or Snow White if you ever read those as a child.

My mom read them to me. It was my first intro into the fantasy wonderful world of books. 🥰

So, the big question remains, have you read this? If you’re a fan or not, I think you would enjoy these short stories. They’re full of magic. 🔮

This month, I would like to post a little more often, so you might see some posts about old books as this one and the one about Interview with the Vampire, which are some of the stories I have read in the past but didn’t write the review or posted here, so that’s the reason behind the random old books; also, there are some new ones that I finished and didn’t write a review either, I hope to post about those too. 😄

So, thank you as usual for sticking to the end of this one, and if you feel like following the blog, I won’t object. 💓

I hope you have a nice day or night or midnight, dearies! And enjoy your favourite book.

Happy Reading! 📘

PS: I didn’t keep it as short as I thought, who knew I had a lot to say? Not me.
