Why you won’t find KDramas like Scarlet Heart Ryeo

There’s no drama quite like Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, but if you’re looking for something that captures at least part of that magic, this list is for you. Palace politics, morally grey princes, time travel, and the “I don’t belong here” feeling. No spoilers, just honest recommendations.

Welcome, dearies!

I’m sure you love KDramas as much as I do, but if you came here looking for a list of dramas like Scarlet Heart Ryeo… I understand that. I’ve been there too, staring at my screen like, “there has to be something that feels the same.” But the truth is, it depends.

If you want some of the elements of it, yes, I have a list for you.

But if you’d like that same multiple characters arc, drama, Goryeo, love, tragic, and so many other genres thrown in there in a perfect blend? There are none, unless you go and read the book (Bu Bu Jing Xin) or watch the Chinese TV show, I think it is a show.

But I haven’t watched or read the original story because it is in Chinese, and I haven’t found an official book translation.

Hello, dearies! Happy Easter Week! 🐇

I wanted to do an entry on Moon Lovers since I finished it a while back because I fell hard for the story and the characters, and even though the finale was not my favourite, it was still a darn good drama.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’s name came to me while I was watching an episode of Knowing Bros (Ask Us Anything/Brother School), and IU and Lee Joon Gi were there as guests. It’s a great episode you should watch it.

Hello, dearies! How is January ending?

I managed to post more than I expected this month, so I’m happy.

I recently finished Hotel Del Luna, and I had my suspicion that I would like it but I really enjoyed it, and it was so much fun to watch with my mom, she joined me mid-story but caught on quickly, and was into the story. Is something else when the elderly love K-Dramas as much as you do, you know they’re good. 😀
