The Bane Chronicles: What Really Happened in Peru

The Bane Chronicles

Authors: Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan

Illustrator: Cassandra Jean

Genres: YA. Fantasy

How do you write a review about a book this size without losing some of its charm on the way? I do not know, so I decided to do it story by story, because I can and because every story in The Bane Chronicles deserves to have a little piece here.

Shadowhunters so far and Malec

Here we are guys!

Let’s do this while it is still fresh… my sole reaction to THAT moment in the latest episode of Shadowhunters was… Oh. My. God!

As for the rest I was still in shock but the excitement was still there.

Now, let us retreat a little in time to the other episodes, I know I haven’t posted much about the rest, but I was really busy… Simon, is already a vampire, that is kind of fast… Alec proposing to someone who does not exist was a bit crazy, the world inverted was kind of cool but still out of this world (no joke intended)… and I think it will give the producers of the show something to go on for when they get to more exciting things, like what happens in book 5 and when they introduce us Sebastian. Spoiler much? Not really, if you are a fan of the saga then you know what I am talking about.

Shadowhunters: ‘Dead Man’s Party’

So, here we are once again. I cannot keep it to myself… but don’t worry this one will be short.

Alright… I’m going to say it, I love the show, I admit it but why do they have to do unnecessary changes? I don’t understand! Camille a brunet? Come on! She is blond with green eyes, is that so difficult? Hey, the actress is good and all, but it’s the details people, the details.

Simon, Simon… I can’t say anything that I haven’t already, to me that character is nearly nonexistent, yes, he does stuff in the books, and he is important and what is coming his way, well, we all know where it is heading, if you read the books you know what I’m saying, if not, is pretty obvious. But the point here is, that he is in the scene and I feel like I should like him or have some sort of affinity but I really don’t.

Shadowhunters TV Show Review: Ep 1 and 2

Alright, here we go.

First off, I love Matthew Daddario, I thought that Kevin Z was Alec, but Matthew gives another meaning to bringing to life a character from a book, he studied Alec, you can tell by the way he acts (and if he didn’t then he wings it to perfection), and it is not just that he is a good enough actor, no, you actually believe Alec is there, just like Emeraude Toubia does Izzy, haven’t seen much of it, but the bits and parts of it, she gets the idea and she looks the part as well.

Yes, we are first talking about the actors and actresses, don’t worry, I’ll get to the good stuff soon enough. Carrying on with Alberto Rosende, so, he kind of is Simon but I personally am not a fan, yet. Wasn’t a fan of Simon in the books but hey, that is my personal prerogative. And maybe that is why I simply ignore Simon in the show  because in the books that is what I did. Sorry, guys!

Special Edition: About Shadowhunters TV Cast…

I simply have to do this… Because if I don’t, then I might explode… We love The Immortal Instruments and we (fans) are hoping for the TV Series to begin in 2016, and while we do that…. Nothing, there is only this ‘at the edge of your seat’ feeling that won’t go away. The have casted some good actors, I might not agree with All of their choices but I am determined to give them all the benefit of the doubt, well there is one with whom I don’t have to do that because I am certain he’ll be great. If you haven’t read the books, I shall remind you to do so immediately because I am not holding back here…

Cast…

Katherine McNamara and Alberto Rosende will be our star and her childhood friend (I’m sorry is that spoiler? Don’t think so everyone should have read the books by now, at least one); Dominic Sherwood (Benefit of the doubt), Emeraude Toubia (BOTD), and Matthew Daddario will be portraying our lovely group of young Shadowhunters siblings (Again… this is for the fans). And Harry Shum Jr. (The one I look forward to…) will be portraying, bringing to life, making us think that a hot warlock from Brooklyn is possible, Harry as Magnus Bane, which I admit make me very happy in case you didn’t notice, I have high hopes for Harry I think he will be awesome…

City of Heavenly Fire

The Mortal Instruments #6

Author: Cassandra Clare

Apparently, I didn’t write a post about the most amazing, awesome book in The Mortal Instruments Series.

Whoa, anyone would think I didn’t LOVE this book. Now you know, I did. It was great, I remember I would stay up late reading, I would wake up and read… think about it when I wasn’t reading it. Wish for Magnus to be on every freaking page but he wasn’t and that’s alright, Jace was or Izzy or Alec… I’m not a big fan of some but hey that doesn’t really matter, the best ones are still there.

The Mortal Instruments

“It means ‘Shadowhunters: Looking Better in Black Than the Widows of our Enemies Since 1234’.”

Author: Cassandra Clare

Genre: Fantasy, Urban, YA, Supernatural

Where to begin? Once upon a time, oh wait! That’s not it.

The Mortal Instruments, these books were first recommended by a friend a long long time ago, I didn’t listen to his recommendations not in the slightest, he even sent me the books (Yes Ebook reader here, in case you didn’t know), I was like “Yes, I’ll read them” and then I would add a muttered: Someday.

I was so mistaken then, The Mortal Instruments are great, please do not let the movie trick you, they gave it a good try with that and we fans hope they do better with the TV Series, the movie has three great things: Jamie Campbell Bower, Jonathan Rhys Meyer, Aidan Turner. Oh! Make that 4 things with Lena Headey. So yes, it could have been awesome if they had known who would be watching the movie. Done with that. The rest of the actors were alright too but the books are so much better, really done now. The so-called review starts now.
