A collection of dark-covered books that pull you into worlds of magic, danger, and at times chaos, the kind you pick up for the cover… and stay for everything inside.
Hello, dearies!
Following my Blue Covers book challenge, I decided to take a turn at darker tones and hues and check for dark coloured book covers, but, these are not mystery or suspense, but fantasy or magical.
Do you have your bookshelves organised by colour? I do it sometimes.
It was not so easy as you might think to find these 11 books, but I like research, so here’s the list, you can add it to your TBR or collect these books to make your bookshelves look striking or gothic-like. 📖
Happy Lunar New Year! The Year of the Fire Horse in 2026. This year encourages courage and boldness. To celebrate, here’s a curated book list featuring horse-themed stories like “The Horse and His Boy” and “Black Beauty”.
Happy Lunar New Year, dearies!
2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, exciting? I think so, and I like the Chinese Zodiac and the Lunar New Year, I’m hooked.
So, before I go into books that have horses on the cover or are about horses, did you know this about the Chinese zodiac? I didn’t know, and I like to keep myself informed: The Year of the Horse is about energy, independence, and a restless spark for adventure. 🐎 The rare Fire Horse amplifies that spirit even more. And, it appears once every 60 years, and is associated with fierce passion, charisma, and bold, untamed ambition. In traditional lore, Fire Horse years were considered powerful and unpredictable. A year for courage, risk, and charging toward new horizons. 🔥✨
So, this 2026 is a fierce one that we can definitely look forward to enjoying and having a spark of adventure. Alright, enough astrology, let’s do books!
First, you can check the list in video:
If you’re here for my ranting on words, to read, here are a few books that I found, and one that it is actually in my online bookshelf.
Trying to find something to read? Check out these 5 Manga Genres and what Titles you could find like Cheeky Brat, Horimiya, or Steins;Gate
Hello, dearies!
Welcome to a new reader list… because I am nice and like listing random bookish things, so why not manga genres that you can choose from and get you started in reading manga OR simply what to read next…
I have checked some of the ones that I like, and added a few others that I haven’t read but would like to.
‘When Jonathan Harker visits Transylvania to help Count Dracula with the purchase of a London house, he makes a series of horrific discoveries about his client.’
It’s October! 🍂
It’s Autumn so all is good! 🎃
Today, I’m jumping straight into these 10 books in the Suspense, Horror, Gothic, and Mystery section, this post was originally posted on 2023… but now, just in time for Halloween. 👻 We go again, with extra books as bonus.
What is a TBR list gone wild? Mine is starting to look like that each passing year.
Or a Book Suggestions guide from my TBR. 😆
Hello, dearies! 📚
Welcome to a new book list, and directly from my TBR pile, list, digital bookshelf.
It’s not that I don’t want to read these books, it is more that I know that I’ll probably like them and be so invested in them that I will forget about everything else, and that can be dangerous because I do have to work from Mon – Fri, lol.
But I have so many books that I have added to my TBR list over the years that it is incredible. At least, last year, I finally went through the whole The Maddox Brothers Series, and I was right, I did like them and I did binge-read the whole series that it made me a bit dizzy.
And the same thing happened with the Eternal Mates series, although I hadn’t thought of reading all of the books before, I had read one like 10 years before, and then I wondered about the other books in the series and well, now I am about to finish the whole series (20 books in), but I did skip some.

Hello, dearies! 📚
Welcome to another ranting on books that not everyone might know about, but I am very attached to and like a lot, and I don’t mind re-reading them over and over, even when I have a reading list (or TBR if you prefer) the size of a town.
So, what are some books that I wouldn’t get tired of reading? You might be surprised, because I certainly was when thinking back and trying to figure out, what would be that book that I want to re-read?
And so, here I am, sharing because I am kind like that. 😆
March, 18 is getting closer each day and we expect Sunrise on the Reaping to be epic.
Hello, dearies! 🌄
As you know Sunrise on the Reaping, The Second Quarter Quell or the book about Haymitch Abernathy that we have been waiting for since we read The Hunger Games, will be released this month. But what could it be like? 🤔
Now, I have not read excerpts, many quotes, or nothing major about the book beyond the fact that it is about Haymitch, I mean when I saw the news last year that was all I needed to be convinced of reading this one. But can it live up to the hype?
What is Christmas without some mystery or some rom-com? Movies or books, we rewatch or read something new.
Christmas is almost here! 🎄
Happy December, dearies!⛄️
I have already been posting this month, but since Christmas 2024 is almost upon us, then I thought to share some books I saw online that are holiday-related.
Not all of these may say Christmas or December or other things like it, but they are related to this holiday time.
