The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (A Hunger Games Novel) Book has been announced, which will be dedicated to the Second Quarter Quell, and we all know who won that one, right?
No? Okay, it was Haymitch, he was the victor of the 50th Hunger Games (or Second Quarter Quell) which is a different type of games, they always do a special one as they did on the 75th Hunger Games (Book 2: Catching Fire) where only the previous victors from each district would participate, this was how Katniss ended up again in the arena.
This might a little late, but this post is full of spoilers if you haven’t watched the movies, read the book, or do not know about the history of Panem.
The year is coming to an end. 2024 is around the corner.
What did I watch this year? Surprisingly, I feel like I watched more things this year than the last.
I’ll dive right into it… this one will be short.
What I Watched in 2023
Bubble (Anime Movie)
My year started good with this one.
Wednesday (TV Show)
Alright, I caved and watched Wednesday. And yes, it was good.
THG: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snake (Movie)
I think my expectations were high, even when I knew they shouldn’t be.
Memories of the Alhambra
Always nice to see Park Shin-Hye, she’s pretty.
Fruits Basket (2019)
The amount of time I spent and will spent in the future re-watching Fruits Basket, it’s not normal. I loved the story even when it’s so dramatic and traumatic. And the characters are awesome, too.
Fruits Basket (2001)
I just wanted it to be over. It was a complete disaster, and so different from the Manga, specially how they wrapped it up.
Jujutsu Kaisen
It’s been a ride to watch and continue to watch every week.
Yes, I’m aware this movie is from last year but I hadn’t watched it.
Hocus Pocus 2
Very aware that it took me a year to watch, yes.
Megan
Shingeki No Kyojin
I almost forgot AOT the final episodes, or however it is styled. The final chapters of Attack on Titan. It was very hard to watch, and at the same time very moving.
Honourable Mentions
Mostly because I forgot for a sec…
Buddy Daddies (Anime)
Again My Life (K-drama)
Flower of Evil (K-drama)
My Happy Married Life (Anime)
Re-watched
Charmed
Gilmore Girls
Friends
Horimiya
DGB Super
The Hunger Games Trilogy
And I am positive that I’m missing a bunch of shows and movies, but these are the ones that I remember the most. 😆
Thank you for reading, dearies! And I hope your new year eve and day are great! 🎇😊
I’m not going to talk about the acting, or the choices in casting. I gave up on that long ago.
But as a reader, I understood what was happening, but my sis went with me, and after the 10th Hunger Games, she had no idea what was happening 🤔 or where the transition was, it was confusing.
I recently hit play on Love Again on HBO, and this is what happened…
Hello, dearies! 🎥
I recently watched Love Again with Sam Heugham 💕 oh, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Celine Dion.
I wasn’t going to mention it here, but sometimes you have to, because to be honest it wasn’t like the greatest love story ever, and half the time the story of her got a little on my nerves, though not as much as clearly seeing where the story was going and how it’ll end, maybe it was my Rom-Com filled brain 🤣 but truly, I knew even before they did that she would end up texting him. 📱
The story is set in Tokyo, after bubbles that broke the laws of gravity rained down upon the world. Cut off from the outside world, Tokyo has become a playground for a group of young people who have lost their families, acting as a battlefield for parkour team battles as they leap from building to building.
Title:バブル (Hepburn: Baburu) – Bubble
Year:2022
Where? Netflix. 📺
What is it?A movie. 📽️
Genres:Post-apocalyptic, YA, adventure.
Alright, so I sometimes do Anime related ones here as you might know. And Bubble deserved an entry.
It’s one of the best animated movies I’ve watched in the past three years. So charming, so heart throbbing and heartbreaking, and lovely and wowing, all at the same time.
“Sisters, All Hallow’s Eve has become a night of frolic, where children wear costumes and run amok!”
Happy Friday, dearies! 🎥
Sorry, I missed one of these last week, but it was hectic.
Why don’t you schedule? The whole week was hectic, so I beseech you, bear with me on this one.
Alright, so Hocus Pocus was a great movie, the original I mean. It’s one of my favourite movies to watch on Halloween and any other holiday, I can catch it on TV in the middle of it and keep on watching.
I don’t normally do this, and it isn’t because this is the greatest movie I have seen in my life but I wanted to share it… And also it isn’t just because Jamie Blackley is in it, which was why I saw the movie I admit but the more I watched, the more I felt like sharing a bit about And While We Were Here, 2012 film.
It stars: Kate Bosworth, Jamie Blackley, Iddo Goldberg.
I just finished watching this movie, today: I rather not say when I saw the movie… I hope to post this soon enough.
That said, it caught me, it called to me and I could feel the inner struggle of this woman, Jane (Kate Bosworth), it isn’t because she is married and enters an affair with a younger man, I think it was more about the fact she was a writer struggling with inspiration and a way of finishing a book… and I wanted to see what else happened in her life.
