Confessions of a Shopaholic

“Life would be a lot easier if conversations were rewindable and erasable, like videos. Or if you could instruct people to disregard what you just said, like in a courtroom.”

Author: Sophie Kinsella

⭐⭐⭐

Genre: Women’s Fiction, Chick Lit, Humor, Romance

That was not what I was expecting one bit. This is what happens when you read a book after you have watched the movie so many times that you almost now the dialogues of it.

But this does not mean I didn’t enjoy it. I quite liked this book if not loved, it made me laugh and seeing how Rebecca Bloomwood made excuses after excuses to buy anything was unbelievable. I suppose that is really how a shopaholic would be.

Some spoilers might be ahead, be wary.

Izzy Lightwood

“I’m pure at heart.”
Total Badass chick and Shadowhunter warrior.

Total Badass chick and Shadowhunter warrior.

Names: Isabelle Lightwood. Izzy. Iz.

Will not talk about Emeurade Toubia, awesome girl who portrayed her on Shadowhunters TV, mostly because Izzy’s story on the show was so completely weird, and twisted at various points, they changed the character.

But in the books? Warrior. A great role-model. Funny. Compassionate. Passionate. Hot. I mean, Izzy is one of the first characters you fall for in the books, even before, Alec and Jace, or Clary, who I didn’t like very much at first.

Idhun’s Memories 3: Panteón

I finished this one a second time (maybe third), and I can still recommend it, I loved it again.

Trilogy: The Idhun Chronicles (Memorias de Idhún)

Pantheon – Book #3

Author: Laura Gallego

🌟⭐🌠🌠🌟

I’m doing this one on Pantheon because it felt in some parts like I was reading it for the first time.

And I completely blocked out 2 facts in this book, or so it seems. It was so real to me that A died, at first I was perplexed that that fact had been out of my mind for so long.

So, let’s do this once more, and I apologise beforehand because I know these books are in Spanish, and some of you might not be able to read them yet, still, I wanted to share.

Ghosts of the Shadow Market: The Wicked Ones

It took me a while to read this one, but I did so enjoyed it and in the end, it led to what we already knew. But while reading The Wicked Ones, I was actually trying to remember about what little information I had on Céline Montclaire.

Book: Ghosts of the Shadow Market

Authors: Cassie Clare & Robin Wasserman

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Drama

It took me a while to read this one, but I did so enjoyed it and in the end, it led to what we already knew. But while reading The Wicked Ones, I was actually trying to remember about what little information I had on Céline Montclaire and as such I will now share my in-the-moment thoughts.

If you haven’t read this short story or don’t know about The Mortal Instruments story, I suggest you don’t continue because there are some spoilers here.

You have been warned.

Midnight Sun

Twilight and Midnight Sun are pretty much the same but Ed and Bells have a way of getting on your nerves separately. Cool book.

Series: Twilight

Author: Stephenie Meyer

Get the book: Midnight Sun – Ebook or Hardcover

Let’s get this PoV started… I was so excited and I read with excitement up until some points at the end that had the capacity to slow my reading progress but at the same time I wanted to finish because I like the story as a whole, these books and movies were a big part of my life in the past and so I wanted to continue and see what Edward thought for sure, I didn’t expect him to be so mopey at times.

Chain of Gold

“There is no better distraction in this world than losing oneself in books for awhile.”

Author: Cassandra Clare

Series: The Last Hours

Some Families: Herondale, Carstairs, Lightwood, Fairchild, Blackthorn

There is so much to say, and I better give it to you straight and without delay, this is mostly my thoughts while reading, immediately after, or right in the middle of things, so pardon my scattered ramblings, but it had to be like this.

Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi

Alternative names: The World’s Greatest First Love: The Case of Ritsu Onodera (世界一初恋 〜小野寺律の場合〜, Sekai-Ichi Hatsukoi: Onodera Ritsu no Baai)

If you are here, I am going to assume that you know about Sekaiichi and Junjou Romantica because I know that not everyone watches these animes or reads the Manga. Today is about the Manga, and a little bit about the Anime, a bit of a comparison might be seen further ahead.

Queen of Air and Darkness

Author: Cassandra Clare

The Dark Artifices #3

Genre: YA, Supernatural, Fantasy, Romance, Drama, Crying, Throwing the book across the room

This is not going to be easy, and I do not think it is going to be really short.

Last night I finished Queen of Air and Darkness (QOAAD from now on), if I had read it in December when it came out it would have been the Best Read of 2018, alas, it was not, it is the Best Read of 2019 so far, and unless The Red Scrolls of Magic is something incredibly amazing and even more epic, it will stay the best book, because Cassie Clare did it again, she went a step forward, she makes you want to be inside the book, inside the Shadow World, be part of a family, be part of a world that you only know through words on paper, it was awesome.

When You See Me

Original Title: Cuando Me Veas

Author: Laura Gallego

Genres: YA, Drama, Fiction

I feel I must warn you that this one is full of Spoilers, as in I will immediately tell you what happened at the end of the book, because it got stuck in my mind and I could not stop replaying it. So if you want to read this book at some point, I do not suggest you read this, only know that it is good and I absolutely recommend it, since most (All) of Laura’s books that I have read in my life are so freaking good, that it is unbelievable. Like: Idhun’s Memories.

Now, let us begin with some details about the book, and once again, there are spoilers ahead.
