Ghosts of the Shadow Market: The Land I Lost

When Alec arrives, he is not welcomed by the Shadowhunters there. He believes it is because of his companion Lily, the head of the New York vampire clan, until a Shadowhunter orphan confides a dark secret to him under cover of the Shadow Market.

the land i lost book review

Book: Ghosts of the Shadow Market

Series: Shadowhunters. Shadow World

Authors: Cassandra ClareSarah Rees Brennan

Is going to be short, but I wanted to relay just how amazingly good it was, that even after reading all the Shadow World books there is still room for the little stories, and we will still love them all as if they were part of a series.

This story is one of the longest in the book, and OMG, the feels, and they are all there, almost all of them.

Jem and Tessa.

Magnus and Alec.

Jace.

Lily Chen (who apparently was further introduced in these short stories).

Little Max.

Too many side stories and wonderful little details that we all were dying to see and know, and get the awesome feels from them.

Watching Alec in Buenos Aires (watching, reading, is all the same) was truly something, the whole scene, which we knew happened from the previous books, but really did not know how it had gone and Jem and Tessa being there, even more great still. I didn’t stop on this one, I read from beginning to end, without making side notes because I was too engrossed in the whole thing, this is definitely one, to be read, the whole book is a big f-ing must read.

Told you it would be short, but it’s Alec and Magnus, and I had to do it.
