2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, exciting? I think so, and I like the Chinese Zodiac and the Lunar New Year, I’m hooked.
So, before I go into books that have horses on the cover or are about horses, did you know this about the Chinese zodiac? I didn’t know, and I like to keep myself informed: The Year of the Horse is about energy, independence, and a restless spark for adventure. 🐎 The rare Fire Horse amplifies that spirit even more. And, it appears once every 60 years, and is associated with fierce passion, charisma, and bold, untamed ambition. In traditional lore, Fire Horse years were considered powerful and unpredictable. A year for courage, risk, and charging toward new horizons. 🔥✨
So, this 2026 is a fierce one that we can definitely look forward to enjoying and having a spark of adventure. Alright, enough astrology, let’s do books!

I’ll add a couple of female leads this time because I feel like I have more to name now then other years when I did similar lists.
So, we have a variety in 2026. And I’ll start with the girls from Shadowhunters because they are my favourite characters by far.
Emma Carstairs
The Dark Artifices. Even at 12 years old she was already badass, and then came TDA trilogy and I was hooked for good.
Izzy Lightwood
The Mortal Instruments. Well, from the start Izzy was my favourite and as the story progressed she only grew in my eyes.
Tessa Gray
The Infernal Devices. Tessa is badass when she wants to. And not just because she is the get two guys for one girl, she has power (abilities) and knows how to use it. 😄
Alice Cullen
Twilight. Do I need to say more? Alice is probably one of the best characters in the whole Twilight Saga, no comparison needed.
Scarlet
The Lunar Chronicles. Scarlet from TLC because she is cool 😎 and I like the book.
I decided to create my own book fanart for Rue. This is from one of the first scenes of the book before we learnt more about her, but soon after wow, she is strong, charismatic, and witty. I like that in a lead. 🙂

Now, I have not watched the new Wuthering Heights movies, with Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw, and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. But? I have seen some scenes and trailers.
As a reader, who liked this book, I do hope to go to the theater and some of this in there:

Well, if this manner of despair is in the movie, then they did a good one; if not? It did not do justice to the book.

So far, the season 3 of the podcast has been slow, sorry about that, there has been a lot going on since last episode.
I was travelling and then my muggle job got in the way, and well, here we are.

Hello, dearies!
I started reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in July 2025, and finished in December. Now, under other circumstances, I would have said a number of things that led me to take that long in reading a short book, because it is shorter than others. But the truth is, I kept putting it off, picking it and reading about 4% before leaving it for weeks.
Recently, I visited and explored some awesome bookstores in Seoul, like Arc n Book, YP Books, and Starfield. Each spot had its vibe. If you’re into books or must-see spaces, definitely check these out!

I watched DBZ several times, DB Kai even more, even GT at the time (DB from the 80s? Maybe one time), I am more of a Gohan and Vegeta fan to be honest, oh, and of course Super, all the movies and the anime, and the movies again, Broly was also in my radar a couple of times.
