18 Books on my TBR List that I keep saying I will read Soon

What is a TBR list gone wild? Mine is starting to look like that each passing year.

18 books to read from my tbr

Or a Book Suggestions guide from my TBR. 😆

Hello, dearies! 📚

Welcome to a new book list, and directly from my TBR pile, list, digital bookshelf.

It’s not that I don’t want to read these books, it is more that I know that I’ll probably like them and be so invested in them that I will forget about everything else, and that can be dangerous because I do have to work from Mon – Fri, lol.

But I have so many books that I have added to my TBR list over the years that it is incredible. At least, last year, I finally went through the whole The Maddox Brothers Series, and I was right, I did like them and I did binge-read the whole series that it made me a bit dizzy.

And the same thing happened with the Eternal Mates series, although I hadn’t thought of reading all of the books before, I had read one like 10 years before, and then I wondered about the other books in the series and well, now I am about to finish the whole series (20 books in), but I did skip some.

Anyways, this is about the books on my TBR that I keep saying that I will read and yet, I have not picked them up. I will. I want to start doing that this year, too.

V.E. Schwab / gallant

Gallant

When this book was first announced I added it to my TBR list, and then… there it stayed, lol.

I haven’t even read the first line of Gallant, but I keep saying I will each time I see it.

chosen ones book cover

Chosen Ones

This is a book by Veronica Roth, which I actually have the paperback, and it has been sitting on my shelf for years now, but I will read it.

Caraval Stephanie Garber

Caraval

A legendary competition.
A mesmerizing romance.
An unbreakable bond
between two sisters.

Another one that I got the paperback of, but funny story, I did pick it up once and started and then put it back on the shelf, lol, nothing to do with the story I just got distracted I guess.

 Hardcover C.J. Redwine

The Shadow Queen

For this one, I picked it because of the cover called to me to be honest, and yet, there it sits on the shelf. I know it is part of The Series Ravenspire but nothing about it.

the brightest night book cover

The Brightest Night

I cannot believe that I haven’t read this one yet, I started, then I stopped and that was a big mistake because I haven’t gone inside of it again, and not because I don’t want to or I don’t like it, simply I haven’t opened the book and read.

The Last Hours #2
hardcover

Chain of Iron

Yeah, definitely will read this one this year and Chain of Thorns, and I know that I might cry, laugh, and everything in between because that’s what a Shadowhunter novel does to you and you still love it.

Guardianes de la Ciudadela #1
El bestiario de Axlin

El Bestiario de Axlin

This one is in Spanish by Laura Gallego, the author of The Idhun Chronicles, which is my favourite Spanish book, so of course, I added this one to my list without hesitation and then… didn’t read it but it is a trilogy and sounds interesting.

More on El bestiario de Axlin.

Laura Gallego García
Todas las hadas del reino

Todas Las Hadas del Reino

Another Spanish book and by Laura Gallego, too, and this one I have the paperback on my shelves, and yet, I haven’t read it. There is no reason behind it other than laziness of a reader. Lol.

Fallen #2

Torment (Fallen #2)

Now, this one has been on my TBR for ten years or so, I read Fallen almost when it came out and then I didn’t pick Torment immediately and that became a constant, I’ll read it later.

Honestly, at this point, I would have to re-read Fallen first before picking on this one.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1

The Lighting Thief

I have not have the drive to read about Percy Jackson, I did back in the day when the movie came out, but I added it to my list and it was pushed back and back in it until it is an afterthought at this point. There’s even a Disney Series now, that’s how long the book has been on my TBR.

A Study in Drowning book 1

A Study Drowning

Another one I added to my list because of the cover first, and then the description. It sounded like a book I would read, so of course, I have it there, waiting.

romance novel for adults - peter pan

Hooked

‘He wants revenge, but he wants her more…’

I have talked about this one before, even if I haven’t read it. But if you know about those dark retellings, and romance, then this might be on your list as well.

jennifer armentrout book

A Shadow in the Ember

Jennifer Armentrout is one of my favourite authors, so I added this one without even looking at the description, and haven’t read it because of no reason to be honest.

I simply haven’t started it, yet.

fiona cole blame it on the champagne

Blame it on the Champagne

Another one that I added because of the author: Fiona Cole. After reading all of the Voyeur Series books in a row, like I binge-read those books so fast, I was left reeling a bit.

Well, I got a recommendation for Blame it on the Champagne and I added it to the list because I am sure it will be good.

good girls guide to murder book 2

Good Girl, Bad Blood

Ah, Good Girl, Bad Blood… after reading A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, being surprised that I actually liked the book, and talking about it for a bit, I came across the fact that there was another book so I added it to the list… and that was that, I haven’t read it yet because I sort of know what it will be like and I feel like I can read it at any time and it’ll be fine if I do or not.

book Court of Thornes and Roses

A Court of Thornes and Roses

This one, I’m just being lazy about it but for real, I am, since I know that it is long and sort of get the idea of it, then I know I am going to go deep into it and not come up for air for a while, so I want to give it the attention it needs.

book cover A Deal with the Elf King

A Deal with the Elf King

I started it and stopped because I was not focused and I didn’t want to be all: I’ll read it later. No I want to go into the book and stay there, knowing all about it.

I’m like that for Fantasy books lately, I have to be in it and focused, not half-read it.

book of dust: La Belle Sauvage

La Belle Sauvage

The Book of Dust book 1, a sequel of a sorts to His Dark Materials, Lyra Belacqua is the main character but not the only one. Mostly, this book La Belle Sauvage is prior to HDM but book 2: The Secret Commonwealth is after, so it is up to the reader what you want to read. I have them both of my TBR.

I will read them for sure.

But heavens, it’s difficult to take care of my muggle job, social media, the blog, and writing. Among other little things, so I re-read books that I love or write or edit my books, and then pick up a new one, so it is a slow process.  🥹

I shall try in the next six months. And of course, I will keep you posted.

Have you read any of these books? Do you also have them on your TBR? Let me know in the comments.

That’s all from me, dearies! Don’t forget to like, share, and comment if you have other books to recommend or if you picked one from the list.
