Book Challenge: The Timeline Book Quest

“The consequences of our actions are always so complicated, so diverse, that predicting the future is a very difficult business indeed.”

book challenges for this month

Hello, dearies! 🍁

Here we are with a new challenge, at this point I should make a blog page solely for the book challenges, I have quite a few now. Should I?

Why not? 😆

shouldn't i keep it

Anyway, you can check out the new page of the blog with all book challenges listed on here: Book Challenges.

Created and inspired by this post.

Maybe I should I explain what this book challenge is about, I have rambled on enough. The Timeline Book Quest is about the books I have read and their years of publication or rather a list of years and checking if I read a book from that year. Let’s check it out.

Timeline Book Quest: Book Challenge

1989

None.

I have not read a book from this year, but I watched a miniseries based on a book from this year, you know? The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet.

The 2010 The Pillars of the Earth (miniseries) had 8 episodes and was quite good, and I did want to read the book but I have not. Yet.

1995

Yes! Northern Lights, the first book in the The Dark Materials trilogy.

Northern Lights is an exhilarating young-adult fantasy novel by Philip Pullman, which was published in 1995 by Scholastic UK.

1999

Oh wow… Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and I suddenly felt old. I mean, I didn’t read this book in 1999 but knowing that was the original publication date took me back.

Also, I have an bonus one, Fruits Basket vol. 1 was published this year, too. So, that’s two awesome reads that I recommend eyes-closed.

2005

Oh my, this was quite a year in the publishing industry and in relantionship to my previous reading habits, back when I would have time to re-read books, lol.

I have to expand to more than one book:

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Twilight
  • A Feast for Crows

But there are also other books that I have on my TBR or have seen over the years: The Lighting Thief. Uglies. The Book Thief. Never Let Me Go. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

What a year.

2009

This one, you might have seen my what we were reading in 2009 list, no? You can, it is here on the blog.

I pick City of Glass from 2009. But there is also Hush Hush, Catching Fire, If I Stay ❤️, and The Maze Runner.

2015

Lol. None.

I have a few books on my TBR that are from 2015, but apparently I have not read any of those. Some are: Red Queen. The Girl on the Train. A Court of Thorns and Roses.

2019

I feel like I read The Silent Patient, which is from this year, but perhaps it was that I started and didn’t finish or it was on my TBR at some point, but of the books I saw were published this year, that’s all I have to share. 😆

2025

Oh wait, that’s the future… but there are books schedules for 2025, and I have one on my TBR! I just realised that. (This is not a promo).

Sunrise on the Reaping is already on my TBR and I know I will read it as soon as it is out, actually I have to go and pre-order it.

In any case… that’s all for the timeline quest of books, I did have fun searching year by year the books that were published and discovering some favourites on this timeline, how about you, dearies?

Don’t forget to comment, like, and share your favourites. If you are not subscribed to the blog, you can do so today. 🍂

Thank you for reading and staying to the end! ❤️
