reading top 5 -2022

Hello, dearies! โ„โ˜ƒ

Top 5, I should say top 3 and not have so many expectations building up for this one. I re-read a lot of books this year.

Nevertheless, I will try to name 5 books that I liked this year, even if they are re-reads. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’–

Number 5

A Girl’s Guide to Murder

I didn’t believe this would be on my list of top reads, but I did like it enough to mention it and considered reading the second book, I haven’t yet, but I want to, my review for it is here on the blog.

Number 4

Teacher

Voyeur Series book #6, I also re-read book 5 just because. And all the others I think, but I think Teacher is my favourite in this series. Fiona Cole really gained a fan in me, and I want to read her other books for sure. If you haven’t read these romance novels, I seriously recommend them.

Number 3

Cheeky Brat

It was another re-read, yes, but I haven’t finished the whole series either, I’m missing the last few volumes. Although I don’t know when I finished as YenPress brought us this one this year and I got the first volumes available, but I know there are many more and cannot wait to have them, it’s my favourite manga.

Number 2

Starcaster

This one took me a while to get into but once in, I couldn’t stop. That’s what I love about this author, Shana Abe, no matter what pen name she uses, for Starcaster it was Shana Shaheen. Her books immerse you in magic, fantasy, romance, and she gives you details even when I want to skip some of the descriptions of things, I still find her books so great. I always recommend them.

Number 1

The Lost Book of The White

I cannot convey it; it was so amazing to be back in the Shadow World, Shadowhunters world, whatever you want to call it. My life is brighter when I’m reading about these characters, yes, high praise, is it any surprise this is number 1 for me? I’m not, I knew it the second I finished The Lost Book of The White. I wanted to keep going and reading more about Alec and Magnus. I do not get tired of reading any of the Shadowhunters books.

The Red Scrolls of Magic was also a great read, that is part one of The Eldest Curses Series. Aka, the prequel to TLBOTW.

I think I read more this year, more new ones, but at the same time I think I re-read a lot as well, but at least I finished those two books I had been longing to read for a while, which, you know it, are the Shadowhunters books. It made me want to re-read the whole series once more. There’s always 2023.

So, that’s it for this one. Keep an eye out for the 2022 recap of my blog. Maybe a few other reviews, and most likely a flashback and/or TBT. Only one week away from 2023, there’s still time for all of it.

Thank you for reading, dearies! I always appreciate the likes and views, and any new followers of course. To my current followers, thank you again for coming back. To the new ones, I’m glad you became part of the family.

That’s really it, hope you find something new to read here in the book.

Happy reading! โค
