Unchained by A Forbidden Love [Eternal Mates #15] Book Review

Unchained by a Forbidden Love had me hooked from the start with its angst and intensity, but repetitive moments and a bit too much inner monologue kept it just shy of a perfect 5. Still, Fuery’s story and that eternal love were worth every page.

If it is not an easy 5, I have to give it 4.

Book: Unchained by a Forbidden Love

Series: Eternal Mates #15

Author: Felicity Heaton

Page count: 290

Genres: Fantasy. Romance. Paranormal. Fae. Shapeshifters. Dark Elves.

I wanted to give this one 5 so badly, and the first 10% to 60% I read non stop, there it was the juicy part and the angst, the falling for the characters.

Hello, dearies! 💜

I started off this one without any greeting but I had to get it out first. Well then… what was missing in Unchained by a Forbidden Love? What made me rethink and not go for the top rating? Probably the repetitive moments or long internal dialogues.

I get it, they were necessary at some points to convey the dilemma of Fuery, not so much with Shaia, she was a bit annoying to be honest.

TBT: The Smoke Thief

‘Creatures of extraordinary beauty, power, and sensuality, they possess the ability to shape-shift from human to dragon and back again. Now their secret—and their survival—is threatened by a temptation that will break every boundary.’

Hello, dearies! 🐲

It’s been a while since I did a TBT, but recently I have been feeling that longing to re-read a good book and one that I have loved for a while is The Smoke Thief by Shana Abé.

This was the first book I read by this author I think 10 years ago or so, wow! I did not expect to think back and see that it has been that long since I first picked up and only after a small description and learning that it was about dragons, that was more than enough for me.

Possessed by a Dark Warrior [Eternal Mates #9] Book Review

‘A powerful warrior and commander of the dark elf legions, Bleu is a loyal and devoted male, and one who has never failed in anything—except one thing. Love…’

Maybe I set my expectations too high.

Perhaps I thought too much while reading it.

Or simply Bleu was not what I was expecting but this had all the potential.

Book Title: Possessed by a Dark Warrior

Book Series: Eternal Mates #9

Author: Felicity Heaton

Genres: Romance. Demons. Shapeshifters. Paranormal. Fantasy.

Page Count: 453 pages

4 ⭐

4 stars and I am being generous. I have a soft spot for elves as you might know from my other reviews of these series. And I like romance fantasy, however, there was something not quite there and I cannot wrap my finger around it.

Spoiler Time Sunday: Victoria’s Twilight

Who is Victoria in the Twilight Series? That can’t be a real question, but sometimes it is… so today, I’ll answer it.

Welcome, dearies! 👩‍🦰

This will also act as a Book Character special since the spoiler focus on Victoria from the Twilight Series, the red-haired vampire, who Rachelle Lefevre brought to live so perfectly. #sorrynotsorry but Bryce Dallas Howard couldn’t compete with the character as Rachelle had it.

Marked by an Assassin [Eternal Mates #8] Book Review

That book was not what I was expecting… sadly.

Well, that was anticlimactic.

Welcome, dearies! 📖

I have finished reading another Eternal Mates book, number 8 this time. Marked by an Assassin. At first I was not going to read this one, but I wanted to know something so I went back to it, I should, maybe, perhaps, followed my first instinct.

Too many emotions.

Hello, dearies! Welcome to this full review of Namaikizakari.

It was the best ending for this romance/sports manga. Yuki and Shō are really my favourite.

I can’t remember when I first started reading it but I do remember that after that first chapter I had to continue.

Katy Swartz

Final Countdown for Smashwords Book Deals [July Summer Sale]

Looking for a new book? I saw some cool ones on Smashwords for their annual book July Summer Sale.

Hi, dearies! 📑

Do you know Smashwords? 🤔

They often have these book sales or deals, where you can find even a free book or a few. But there are some with 25%, 50%, or 75% discount. If you have seen some of my others book listings here on the blog then you already knew that. lol.

In any case, I was browsing the lists and these books caught my eyes. (This is not a promotion, I just like sharing Smashwords book deals).

July Book Mail: Light Novels

After escaping her abusive family and restarting her education, Miyo thought she would spend the rest of her days as Kiyoka’s fiancée in peace. But when horrible visions begin to assail her night after night, she gradually starts to break down. As tensions flare and the once-happy couple lapses into misunderstanding, Miyo finds herself leaving home once again…

Hello, dearies! 📬

I got new books in the mail and of course, I had to share them with you. 🥰

Why do I buy so many light novels? They are light, lol. They don’t occupy as much as space as the hardcover books that I want to have on my bookshelf.

But I got this particular ones because I really enjoyed My Happy Marriage Vol. 1 and I wanted to continue the story straightaway.
