Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo [Revamped Review]

I had to watch Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo again, and it lives rent-free in my mind.

Of course, I had to come back here and share with you all as I know you love this show and so do I, here we are once more. 😄

Who does (IU Character) ends up with?

🤴 왕자님… 😄 This is a trick question because she was not exactly with him. But it was the 14th Prince.

Who is Lee Joon-gi on Moon Lovers?

One of the best characters on the whole show. Alright, Alright. I’ll be serious.

Lee Joon-Gi is the 4th Prince So.

Who is the main couple in Moon Lovers?

IU and Lee Joon-Gi. Or Hae Soo and So.

But what happens when you mix two good actors? You get a power couple that is so convincing that is painful in their way of delivering their relationship issues. And their love for each other.

It was incredible. 😍🥹

Is Moon Lovers sad ending?

Yes. For me it did have a sad ending, it depends on what you want to watch on a show. If it is the love story then yes, obviously sad, I was bawling my eyes out. But if it is for the history then you should be fine to watch almost normally.

What happens in Moon Lovers?

What a vast question but I’ll try to answer it and give some details on the plot for Scarlet Heart.

A girl falls through a portal to the past. To the time of the first King of Korea. There she meets all the Princes and Princess that want to take the throne, and a Game of Thrones situation erupts as everyone is skimming for it, the two queens want their sons to be King, some of the Princes have no interest in it. Then the one Prince that Hae Soo remembers her history lessons from the future, and manages to figure out who would be the next King, but also remembers that he was a cruel King according to history, but it doesn’t go with the person she has met, still she is afraid of Prince So, but he is already falling for her. And of course, all the Princes like her, and she gives hints that she is from the future without meaning to as she has expressions and mannerism that are not from that time.

After a couple of years and being put through several difficult situations, she falls for one of the Princes but he disappoints her, and so she falls for So, as he was always honest with her and never hid who he was or want he wanted, which was his ambitions to ascend at some point after his older brother since events made him desire it, Prince So wants to build a better country and control the actions of his siblings who are out of control.

However, everyone has a terrible view of him and get in his way, but in the end he succeeds with Hae Soo’s help and others after the Crown Prince had ascended and murdered. But when Prince So becomes King he does one terrible thing, beat up a traitor who was Soo’s friend since she got to the past, even when she knows how she was betrayed by said friend, she cannot forgive the new King, after they were all love and happiness. She leaves the Palace with one of the other remaining Princes and becomes his wife, but is a fake marriage as she is in love with So, but just doesn’t want to live in the Palace, anymore, is too much and she doesn’t have money or power to help him keep the throne as his sister does, which BTW, is also a big part of it as this sister is in love with him.

In the end, Moon Lovers ends when Hae Soo’s life in the past reaches its end and purpose. The drama goes on to the very end, and the happy ending we were expecting, is not there. If you were here for it, you didn’t pay attention throughout the whole story.
