Katy Swartz

It’s not easy talking about Katy without spoilers, so be prepared for it.

If you have not read any of the books in the Lux saga, or you only read Obsidian than this is not for you, unless you’re here because you want to know what happens from book 3 onwards, which is around the time that Katy starting to be cooler. 📖

Also on The Origin Series but mentioned, and sometimes on scene, I think, my memory is fuzzy.

Name: Katy Swartz, Kat, or Kitten

She is the main female lead of the Lux Saga, and while she is not meek and you know sometimes annoying like other teenagers in YA fantasies (*cough* Bella Swan), on the first books she was alright, but she kept growing.

Katy is one of the few characters that I actually can somewhat relate to and follow easily.

But after what she went through and how she was changed, the way she had to defend herself after being turned into a hybrid and was captured, it was something to be wowed by, so Lux became one of my favourite series of books to re-read.

Plus, she’s a book lover and that gives her even more points.

Katy and Daemon are the enemy-to-lover type as on book 1 they tried to keep their distance from each other… I wouldn’t say one more than the other since on the one hand Katy thought Daemon was annoying and a jerk, which he was acting as at the time, but of course, we could see through the act, I mean, he is a bit too much sometimes but out of protectiveness towards those he loves. Anyway, this is not about Daemon Black, that post will come later, so watch out for it.

This is about Katy and how she became more of a badass as the books progressed, towards the end of it, Opposition, I really was on her team and thought she was cool, it was not such a surprising thing that she became a favourite female lead from the YA scene, and that’s nice because honestly, some of the YA fantasies or not that I have read, the main character is too annoying.

Even, when faced with the fact that there are aliens and they live among humans, she accepted that better than most and was able to adapt. I really like these books, I have read them a couple of times and my perspective has not changed. Jennifer Armentrout is a genius.

Is this the end? Yes, I know, I said it’d be filled with spoilers and only gave a few, but I cannot speak of the whole book and every single details of what happened to Katy, but it’s good, I love the story and the books, and the characters so I want you to experience it as well, if you have not already.
