Spoiler alert, it’s not just the fantasy one… not always.
Hello, dearies! 😎
I was considering the stars system and the books, and I have always said that if I could give more stars to a book I would, which technically I can if I want but not on Goodreads of course. In life.
Anyway, as my latest read was a 5 star because that’s how much I liked it. I thought of this question, what type of books do you give 5 stars to?
And while it’s not an exact science and I normally do it because I feel like it and I really enjoyed a book. It should at least have some of the following for me, personally.
This is my perspective.
5 stars Books
- I read it quickly.
- I wanted to stop doing other things to read it.
- I laughed, I cried, I went aww. Basically I got an emotion from it.
- I was engrossed in the story.
- I actually followed the story and wanted to know what had happened before, what would happen next and how it would end.
But of course, many of these may not apply or perhaps I would let other factors affect the decision, but I’m not that picky and if I really like it the book and go immediately for the five-star mark then it was that good, sometimes it’s automatic, even for the four and so on. Well, I have never left a 2 or 1 star review that’s just mean and I don’t approve of the practice. Also, I only review books about 3-stars.
That’s all for this one, just a bit of insight on what goes behind the scene and because my last read was 5 stars because I really liked, it was: Tempted by Rogue Prince.
Thanks for reading and let me know how, why, or when you leave 5-stars, do you do it often? There’s no need to be backtalking an author, and I prefer to read books I enjoy and want to talk more about, rather than discarding or discrediting others hard work. ⭐
Happy Reading! 📖
