Spoiler Time Sunday: Wizarding World of Harry Potter

New Section dedicated to those difficult questions and moments that would give away a book and how it all ends.

Hello, dearies! ๐Ÿ“†

Welcome to a new segment? Special? Section? Category? Anyway, welcome to this new special, I’ll go with special. Spoiler Time Sunday, as the name indicates this will be about spoiler. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Now, if you have read some of my book reviews you might know that I don’t like spoilers, giving them or receiving them, but sometimes I get questions or people come to the blog because they want spoilers, so I decided to oblige the masses and talk occasionally about a specific thing in a book, manga, or anime (movies and shows?) that would be considered a big plot twist, a change, something that cannot be viewed as anything but spoiler in my eyes. ๐Ÿ˜„

I’ll start with an easy one.

spoilers warning ned stark

In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, now, if you have read the books and/or watched the movies there’s nothing I can say that will shock you. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

But did you know that some people haven’t read the books? Or watched the movies but didn’t read the books? So they don’t know how, why, or anything about Harry being the master of death? Yep, I’m starting with the biggest one, The Deathly Hallows. ๐Ÿช„

So, many don’t understand from the movies what it meant for Harry to be alive and I had to explain it a couple of times that he had all three Deathly Hallows, and that made him the master of Death, meaning he came back after the Avada Kedavra curse was cast at him. If you have read the books, you would understand this better. But basically, having the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak, makes one the master of Death.

The Elder Wand,‘ he said, and he drew a straight vertical line on the parchment. ‘The Resurrection Stone,‘ he said, and he added a circle on top of the line. ‘The Cloak of Invisibility,‘ he finished, enclosing both line and circle in a triangle, to make the symbol that so intrigued Hermione. ‘Together,‘ he said, ‘the Deathly Hallows.

There’s no other way of explaining but like that. This goes back to The Tale of the Three Brothers as well, in The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Of course, at the time Harry, well, us, didn’t know that he was the owner of the Elder Wand, which passed to him from Draco after he disarmed him. And it was Draco’s because he was the one to confront Dumbledore first in The Half-Blood Prince. I went a little over the explanations there, but all the info just flows into my mind and keep writing. โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ป

So, yes, all of that happened at the end of Book 6 and 7 of Harry Potter.

Don’t be discouraged by this one if you already knew all of this, in future Sundays, I have planned to talk about other books that are not as well known as this one and the spoilers would be bigger than this. ๐Ÿ˜„

Thank you for reading to the end, and I hope I didn’t spoil anything major unless that’s what you were looking for when you came in here.

Have you checked out my podcast about The Philosopher’s Stone? I’ll leave it here. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŽง

Happy Reading and Listening! ๐Ÿ“š
