Hello, dearies! 🪄

We have arrived at this one at last, it was a long road while I talked about each book. All reviews here.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, I remember being so excited because the final book would come soon, and I had re-read The Half-Blood Prince a couple of times already because it was so good, not the end but that just made you want to read the next book more.

And then, I had to wait a little bit before I got my copy, and then, I had to share that copy with my siblings, and I remember staying up at night until one or two in the morning and not even realising it, just so I could read a few more chapters because that book is heavy large.

But everything in it? It’s great. For fans? A masterpiece.

Of course I have re-read it a few times, and I re-read the flashbacks more than a few times ’cause, seriously, right? Snape, Lily, life in Hogwarts in the past? It’s all there, and it’s one of the most exciting parts of the book. There’s no denying it.

Alright, so when the movie came out, it didn’t have all that the book had, but we still watched it and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 is my second favourite of the Harry Potter Movies. But it cannot be denied that some of the essence of it the book is there.

But, yes there is a but, and that is that the book is amazing from leaving Privet Drive to how we got to The Burrow, and the whole chase with all the Harrys, there’s so much more than what we saw in the movie, sorry, there is.

Living in Grimauld Place for a while, a long while that is. Finding out all that happened with Regalus Black, how he tried to destroy the Horcrux. So many details. Oh, and Hermione taking the painting of one of Hogwarts’ headmasters when they leave Grimauld Place? And that’s how Snape finds them later on? There’s so much happening in the book. I loved it all.

The history of Helena Ravenclaw and the Bloody Baron, I mean, the movie didn’t graze the surface of that, they were more like, oh yes, she had the diadem and told Tom Riddle about it, please, what about her stealing it from her mother, and then how she murdered? The book has so much to offer. I cannot say it enough times.

But I’ll be here all day if I start jumping from detail to detail, I have a better question for you, did you read the book and watch the movies? Did you like the book better? Because I personally like the book, and all the books better than the movies, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t hit play on the movies and let them run in the background while I work or do something else, they’re a comfort to have.

That’s me on The Deathly Hallows, dearies! I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane and don’t forget that all other book reviews for the whole Harry Potter Series are here on the blog, just go to Wizarding World and you’ll find more of it.
