I gave it 4 stars out of consideration, and I didn’t want to put 3.

I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews, or what some might count as bad or not perfect-I-loved-everything-about-it or even hey-you-should-read-this-is-a-must-read. I like recommending books that I enjoyed, but then the endings come, and they’re so, what the frack is this?

That’s kind of how I felt all the way through the last chapters of The Last Star. Up until the last chapter, I had hopes, the hope that it would end differently, but it didn’t.

Let’s get this party started. First, I have some commentary on some of the chapters, then it comes the final review, and if you haven’t read my previous reviews on these books, you can check them out before reading this one:

Alright, so the warning, Spoilers ahead! Like there are Spoilers if you haven’t read The Last Star. You have been properly warned.

The Infinite Sea: Honest Review

Author: Rick Yancey

Forget all in the world for hours and get lost in The Infinite Sea that Rick Yancey created for us. Why mention that it is honest? Are they not all honest? Yes, they are but this one felt like it really struck a couple of nerves more than others, and I decided to pour out everything like never before.

This contains spoilers, so read only if you have read The Infinite Sea.

I had my doubts when I started the book, and I started the book because I liked The 5^th Wave’s Ending, this one though, took me more than any other book to read, and it was not because it was bad but because nearing the end, when I was 80% done with it, and Ringer was been transformed into an enhanced human and there was nothing to do about it, I stopped reading for some unknown reason, I could not bring myself to finish it because then there will be no more.

The 5th Wave Thoughts

So about The 5^th Wave by Rick Yancey, haven’t finish it yet. 62% and now is getting exciting although I’m still waiting to get surprised I don’t know if it is that I was measuring all the possibilities while Cassie (main character) was talking/thinking delusional thoughts throughout the whole book or if I am just deductive or maybe Rick wrote it in that way so WE, the readers, would know but Cassie wouldn’t. I had one surprise many chapters ago but the rest I was: Yes, exactly. What else could it have been?

I am not saying the book is bad; it’s great actually, I was just pointing those parts out. The worst as usual (lately) is that I have to wait until September 16th 2014, supposedly, to read the 2nd part (*sigh*).
