Oh wow… I’m not even remotely ready to talk about this one.

NANA description:

Nana “Hachi” Komatsu hopes that moving to Tokyo will help her make a clean start and ~~leave her capricious love life behind her~~. Although these two young women come from different backgrounds, they quickly become best friends in a whirlwind world of sex, music, fashion, gossip and all-night parties! I recently, barely, finished watching Fruits Basket’s original anime (or I would say the crazy 2001 version).

This anime makes no sense.

I’ll jump right into this one. Expect some rambling ahead, and some spoilers if you don’t know about Fruits Basket.

This new adaptation of Fruits Basket was announced in November, and aired on April 6th, 2019.

Let’s talk Fruits Basket! If you haven’t heard of this anime or manga before, I recommend it. Also known as フルーツバスケット, Furūtsu Basuketto. You can watch it on Crunchyroll and FunimationNow.

Before starting on this one, I’d like to clarify that this is about the anime of 2019 (essentially a reboot). I haven’t watched the original anime (I didn’t know there was one) from 2001, though that one has fewer episodes, and I think they changed the story from the Manga.

If you thought that, then, no need to be so harsh. I started watching this anime recently after reading the description, and though I haven’t finished it, this is how it’s going so far…
