Sela O.

Welcome, September! Days later but it is here!

How is September going to be?

Happy September, dearies! 🍂

Fall is almost here!

Yes, it’s my favourite season! How did you guys know? 🤣

Anyway, September is here, and perhaps it’ll be a great one for reading, even when I am still reading Dune because, my goodness what a long book. But I’m halfway through it so if that’s done soon, I’ll be able to move on to some romances that are waiting for me. Or a few fantasy books that I have on my TBR since forever, honestly, the list is long, and I cannot decide on one right now.

Daily Prompt: I was looking for: what in the world was peremptory?

Interesting question. Funny answer.

What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

Hey, dearies! 📚

Quick answer on this one. I am reading Dune and this word: peremptory. It came up and at first I kept reading for a few seconds then came back to it like, what is that? Did I understand the sentence?

So, yes, I had to look for it online. And it means:

adjective: peremptory
insisting on immediate attention or obedience, especially in a brusquely imperious way.

Similar: brusque, imperious, high-handed, brisk

Or in LAW
not open to appeal or challenge; final.

Similar: incontrovertible, irreversible.

Hope you learned a new word as I did. 😄📖

PoV: Watching Jujutsu Kaisen for the first time

Have you watched Jujutsu Kaisen?

Kon’nichiwa, dearies!🗼

I go Japanese after a good anime, I know. 😉😶‍🌫️

So, have you heard of or watched Jujutsu Kaisen?

Of course, are you the only one living in the past?

If you thought that, then, no need to be so harsh. I started watching this anime recently after reading the description, and though I haven’t finished it, this is how it’s going so far…

Book Challenge: Last | Now | Next

New Book Challenge! Last Book Read. The Book you’re reading right Now. What will be your Next read?

Hello, dearies! 📚☀️

Another day, another book challenge, or something like that.

I saw this one for the Last book I read, the book I’m reading right Now, and the book I’ll read Next. But I’ve been a sort of inactive reader lately. I haven’t devoured many books in a month so this is spaced out a bit, though I suppose that doesn’t matter.

5 Manga to Start the Journey

What’s your favourite Manga? What a question, there are so many to pick from… but here are 5 Manga to start you up in this journey.

Hello, dearies! 🐱

This is a difficult one! Why? Because we all have different tastes, and even more varies in Manga, I think. Don’t you?

But I’ll try to give a well-rounded view… lol, I’m not, this is completely biased and oriented towards what I like the most. So here we go.

As you might know, I like reading and my manga collection has been growing too, so these are some of the titles that I liked the most.

Book Challenge: The Last Book that… 📖

What was the last book that you gave 5 stars to? Cried over? DFN’d? It’s all here, check out mine!

It’s August! 👀

Let’s do a book challenge because they’re fun. 📖

Hello, dearies! Welcome to the blog!

Have you heard my podcast? It’s live now on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, and Youtube. Just in case you want to follow.

Now, let’s go into this book challenge.

HP and The Deathly Hallows

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”

Author: J.K Rowling

Saga: Harry Potter Book #7

Genre: Epic Fantasy, Young Adult, Drama, Magic, Urban, and so much magic and fantasy

Hello, dearies! 🪄

We have arrived at this one at last, it was a long road while I talked about each book. All reviews here.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, I remember being so excited because the final book would come soon, and I had re-read The Half-Blood Prince a couple of times already because it was so good, not the end but that just made you want to read the next book more.

TBT: The Secret Adversary

“Never tell all you know—not even to the person you know best.”

Or as I knew it before in the Spanis version: El Misterioso Mr. Brown.

Author: Agatha Christie

Genres: Detective, Crime Novel

I can’t remember when I read this book, maybe over ten years ago or more, but I do remember this, I liked and thought it was cool to get into suspense and think, oh what’s happening, uuh what’s that?

It was nice. But The Secret Adversary is about looking for clues, following up people, and finding them.

Smashwords Annual Summer/Winter Sale: Book Listing

Are you looking for a new book to read?

So, here are some cool book titles that I saw and wanted to share with you.

Check out the list, this is fantasy related, so be warned on that.

50 Shades Darker

“I wasn’t aware we were fighting. I thought we were communicating,”

Author: E.L. James

Series: Fifty Shades Trilogy

Genres: Erotic (sure), Romance (eh…), Drama (so much), BDSM (only accurate one)

Honest, different view after years and reading other books.

Hello, dearies! 🚁

I had to look up to know if the trilogy’s name was actually 50 Shades or not. Lol. The Fifty Shades Trilogy it seems, and then the Fifty Shades Series, but I didn’t read Christian’s POV books because it really was not something I was interested in, this, of course, after reading all three books in the original trilogy.
