The book that shocked me. 📚

Hello, dearies! 🏝️

Welcome to the blog and a new review in the world of Eternal Mates, this time for Seduced by a Demon King, which is book 17 in the saga.

The saga that I didn’t I would keep on reading for so long, yet, here I am because it seems I am a fan.

Being Seduced by This Demon King surprised me 😄. Why? Because I didn’t think I would like it better than others, but I did.

First things first, though, the general book details.

Title: Seduced by a Demon King

Series: Eternal Mates Book #17

Genres: Demons (duh). Paranormal. Hell. Fantasy. Between Worlds. Drama. Romance.

Author: Felicity Heaton

Page Count: 393 pages (felt like less)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

When I decided to go and get Seduced by a Demon King, it was because I remembered that it was about Tegan and he had been in another book, and I thought: huh, I bet he has his own book.

And he did, and yet, I thought it would be a regular affair, in fact I was scared it might be like Marked by an Assassin for some reason, and that I would be reading about a random guy, in a random way, with a story that barely holds a bit of the main story. I was mostly right, but at least, Sable was in it, spoiler? Yes, maybe. 😅

In any case, I started reading it and was a bit off the story because of the dullness the demon was going through, but maybe that is a good thing, that I got immersed with him there. I hadn’t thought about it that way. Well, after we go the main female lead and I saw she was a succubus I was hooked, yes, in it. You might not know this because I don’t think I have reviewed or talked about in the past, but succubi and incubi are one of my favourite fantasy, characters? Supernatural? Not sure what to call them, but yes, it might come from watching Lost Girl ages ago, do you know that show? It’s about a Succubus. 😸

Back to the book, after those first chapters I was definitely reading at a faster pace than I would have expected, specially after coming out Avenged by an Angel, and being slightly disappointed at how anticlimactic it felt. More so, because, spoiler alert, the angel didn’t exactly avenged her, but you can read about that in my review. I immersed myself in Seduced by a Demon King, despite Suki getting on my nerves from time to time, and Teagan also getting on my nerves a little bit. But I like their dynamics and their strong drives… their strength?

I’m rambling a little but I think they were well-matched, that’s it. 😈

Moments/Quotes from the Book

I didn’t do, chapter by chapter, my thoughts on this book because I skipped some of those chapters… I didn’t skip the chapters, I meant that I was reading and invested in it so I didn’t stop to take notes that much. But I did highlight some moments in it.

  • Since becoming king, he had learned twelve languages, both written and spoken. He had studied the culture and history of every mortal country, and every fae and immortal realm.‘ Well, he had 1000 years of free time, I wish for that too. 😆
  • “Forgive me. It has been a long time since I have met a fae. I forgot the power your true name has over you.” First I hear of this.
  • Suki nodded. He groaned. “You slay me.”
  • Charmingly awkward. Devastatingly confident. A contradiction that she was starting to like about him.
  • JP Morgan card right out of his hands. She was refusing it. Why?’ I don’t know why 🤣 I am such a succubus then.
  • ‘He could feed off her, could give her energy, and that meant he had a connection to her.’ I don’t the reason either, because they are mates?
  • “Can she even have male offspring?” Now I have to read the book about the Incubus even more because how are they born? If a succubus has only daughters?
  • ‘…was ripping apart every book in his precious collection with his bare hands,’ not the books 😩

That’s pretty much it, lol, I told you there was not much to it. Which is also a good thing in a way because I was so into it that I didn’t stop just to write down my thoughts.

Do I recommend Seduced by a Demon King?

Yes, of course. That is why we are here. I did give it 5 stars.

Do you know about the series? I feel like an island sometimes with this series, but I have seen the amount of reads on Goodreads, but not sure if people did like it as much as I do.

But I do recommend it, and it goes well as a companion with Claimed by a Demon King, which is book 2. However, since this is book 17, it would be wise to at least know what the rest of the series is about before jumping head first into this one.

book review 17 - eternal mates

One thing is for sure about this book, and I guess this whole book series, and it is the fact that by the time I read this book I was very: Like they’re demons, they live in a 1500s type of world, so sure. They have horns? And wings? Sure, they are demons, it didn’t made me cringe any longer.

I found that was interesting when I was reading, my reader’s view widened, if you can say it like that.

Other book reviews from this series:

And that’s all from me, dearies! Thank you for stopping by for another rambling on a romance book in another world that you might like to visit, because living in Hell is a bit of a stretch, unless it is in one of the realms where the light from the Elf kingdom is reaching and making it blossom.

Because all of these books are in Hell at some point, they might go into the human realm but at some point, Hell is featured, and it is bleak and black stone everywhere. I haven’t talked about the Eternal Mates world after all of these reviews, well, there it is.

Anyway, I’m really done with the book review now, honestly. Thank you again, and don’t forget to like, share, comment if you have read the books or not, and of course follow the blog for more.

See you on the next one! 📚
