It is almost the end of the year, and I cannot believe it!
What did I read this year though? It was varied, but with some (a lot) of re-readings in there. But I’ll keep this top 5 rating of 2024 to the books, manga, and light novel that I hadn’t read before and were new to me if not released this year or last, like all the reads on this list were published years ago.
It seems like I have been doing this for the past two years and I didn’t remember of 2022, lol. Anyways, the ones that made it to this list this time around feel like a lot different than before.

Unchained by a Forbidden Love
Why? Because I liked it enough to keep reading and not think about much while at it, and I love fantasy. And despite not meeting all of my expectations it was still a good read. 😆

My Happy Marriage vol. 2
Better than the first volume, more so because a few details I didn’t already from the anime, so that helps when reading something that I really liked.

Beautiful Oblivion
This one was perhaps a surprise but not quite? Because it took me Years!!! to read it, but when I did, I somehow ended up reading it so avidly that it was an easy 5 ⭐ unlike the other books in the series that were not as easy to rate.

Tempted by a Rogue Prince
Read it twice this year because I had to know if I really liked or I was impressed, and it turns out that I did like it quite a lot.

Cheeky Brat (Namaikizakari)
The amount of love I have for this manga is quite amazing. I am surprised by it myself, as not many have that unconditional attention. 😊
I did read other books that were top for me, but some as I said before some were re-reads so, yes, I decided to go with ‘new’ books that I read in 2024 for this top 5.
Have you read any of these books, light novels, manga? Have you heard about them? I don’t even remember how I ended up with these in my hands, some were recommendations, some simply caught my eye while browsing. But I’m glad I did, they made my reading year better. 🐉
