Have you watched Kuroko’s Basket or Kuroko No Basuke? I have and I would recommend to watch a second time, so today’s Friday Flashback will be dedicated to this Sports Anime.

Anime by: Shunsuke Tada

Basketball Team: Seirin High (誠凛高校, Seirin Kōkō

Hello, dearies! ⛹️ I realised recently that I don’t have one for Kuroko no Basuke, which is odd since I really liked this one.

Have you ever heard of or watched this anime? I hadn’t until Crunchyroll and Netflix put it in my face as recommendation because I had watched… I have no idea what. Honestly, I don’t why the algorithm thought it would be good for me to watch, perhaps because I watched Dragon Ball? That could be it.

Anyway, I watched and liked it a lot. It’s fun, more so if you like High School, School Life, and Basketball. And Seinen then you definitely can watch this one.

But don’t take my word for it, you can also see if the description fits you. 😆

Description:

Kuroko no Basuke, also known as Kuroko no Basket, The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays or Kuroko’s Basketball, is a manga that was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump. Three seasons of the anime adaption have aired with a movie due to be released in March of 2017.

The story centers around the Seirin high school basketball team, with Tetsuya Kuroko and Taiga Kagami as its core players, they face the Generation of Miracles as their opponents in the Interhigh and the Winter Cup.

And if that still doesn’t convince you, here’s the opening, which they usually have some spoilers in them.

And if that doesn’t make you re-watch it, or watch it for the first time. Here’s a fun fact the voice of Aomine Daiki (one of the Basketball players) is the same voice of Sukuna Ryomen (Yes, Jujutsu Kaisen’s Sukuna). And also, Undertaker in Black Butler.

So, the point is there are some reasons to watch it. Other than if you like Basketball and High School anime combined. I have discovered that I like those, so I enjoyed watching this type of anime.

And of course, if it’s Seinen (for young adult men) or Shonen (“boys’ comics”). I don’t usually pay attention to genres when picking something to watch, and go more to the description of it, but that’s me.

So, yes, Kuroko No Basuke (or Kuroko’s Basket) is long, there are 3 seasons officially, but with all the extras is more like 5 seasons. I basically binge-watched the whole thing and was ready to recommend it after season 1.

I know it might not be for everyone, but I have re-watched random episodes or just let play in the background while I do something else, it’s that type of anime.

As for the Manga, I started reading it, but the resemblance with the anime is so clear and it matches so well that I didn’t continue, although, I am sure that maybe it has some differences later in the volumes, but the first season and first volume are pretty similar.

Well, that’s all from me. It took a bit longer than I thought it would. But the question of the day would be, have you watched Kuroko’s Basket? Did you like it? Would you watch it again? Pick whichever you’d like best. 😁📽️

Thanks for sticking to the end, and don’t forget to subscribe to the blog if you’re not already, like, comment, share with others. Visit my Pinterest and TikTok, there’s always something anime/manga related there. ❤️🍒

Happy Watching! 🏀
