Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: TBT

‘It was much pleasanter at home,’ thought poor Alice, ‘when one wasn’t always growing larger and smaller, and being ordered about by mice and rabbits. I almost wish I hadn’t gone down that rabbit-hole — and yet — and yet — it’s rather curious, you know, this sort of life! I do wonder what can have happened to me! When I used to read fairy-tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one! There ought to be a book written about me, that there ought! And when I grow up, I’ll write one.’

When did I read it? Ages ago.

Hello, dearies! 🫖

When I was little, I loved watching the Disney movie of Alice in Wonderland. Just a fun fact for you.

I didn’t read the book until my teenage days and found it as nuts as you can imagine.

It’s not bad. It’s just a lot of things happening.

Now, I will go ahead and drop some of the best quotes here, or at least the ones that I love the most.

Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, “What road do I take?”

The cat asked, “Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know,” Alice answered.

“Then,” said the cat, “it really doesn’t matter, does it?

In the midst of the unknown or rather of what you would want to experience but at the same time, not really caring where you’ll end up.

‘Alice thought to herself “I don’t see how he can ever finish, if he doesn’t begin.’

Proving that even in 1865, people already knew that you have to get going or nothing will get done.

‘Who are you?’ said the Caterpillar.
This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, ‘I — I hardly know, sir, just at present — at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.’
‘What do you mean by that?’ said the Caterpillar sternly. ‘Explain yourself!’
‘I can’t explain myself, I’m afraid, sir’ said Alice, ‘because I’m not myself, you see.’
‘I don’t see,’ said the Caterpillar.
‘I’m afraid I can’t put it more clearly,’ Alice replied very politely, ‘for I can’t understand it myself to begin with; and being so many different sizes in a day is very confusing.’

Proving my point of this book being bonkers.

This is what I’m talking about, but the thing is, you just keep reading it because it’s good, and you never know what will happen at the turn of the page. The fact that this was such a hit, is that you could even relate in some cases.

‘No, no! The adventures first,’ said the Gryphon in an impatient tone: ‘explanations take such a dreadful time.’

Last one because explanations do take such a long time, so I’ll leave it up to here.

And that’s it for now, did you notice the subtle nonsense on this one? Not so much ramble.

But that’s how it came out, you cannot talk about Alice in Wonderland or Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and make it sound logical. Thank you for reading to the end, dearies. And I hope you’ll come back for more. Some reviews are longer and more in-depth than this, but some are just as much of a ramble as it can get.

Also, if you didn’t know already, I have started a podcast, yes, it’s finally live, and the first one was The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, it’s a bit short, and I could have gone on talking longer but decided to make it short, cannot promise the same for future ones. And my Youtube channel is also live if you’d like to see some books and my travelling log.
