Welcome, dearies!
I’m sure you have been following this new bookish adventures series here on the blog and on YouTube, but if you haven’t there are other insights of bookstores in Seoul that I visited recently, you can check them out:
But if that’s too much, I have compiled it all here today, what was it like going to each of these bookstores? It was certainly a magical and want-to-repeat experience for me.
Also, there’s a special one that I had not mentioned before, check out the view inside Bluesquare later.
Arc n Book
My first Bookstore in Seoul, and it was eye opening how behind I am in learning the language. But I still had a great time browsing and walking around it because that Arc is right in the middle of it, so you can take the iconic photos you might see online when you look for this bookstore.
And I did buy some stuff but no books here, just my anime obsession with Jujutsu Kaisen coming through, and of course the Potterhead inside me leading the buying 😄. It was great.
Arc N Book Address: LOTTE WORLD MALL. But the exact address is: 4th Floor, 300 Olympic-ro, Songpa District, Seoul, South Korea.
YP Books
Now, YP Books, I didn’t know it was a brand thing, so there is more than one to visit. I went to the one in Seoul: 168-151 Haengdang-dong Seongdong-gu. ‘Wangsimni Station’ Exit 12, and got a book! Well, a light novel but still awesome. And I don’t speak fluent Korean yet but it sure is an incentive to keep learning.
Bluesquare
This one was the one I liked the least on my last trip, nothing wrong with it, but it didn’t feel like going in and staying, and it is a library, not a bookstore. So, you go, you sit, get a book, and read, all good in theory… however, being there and doing it did not feel as natural as I would have believed.
Bluesquare Address: 294, Itaewon-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
[서울특별시 용산구 이태원로 294 (한남동)]
Starfield
I had visited Starfield last year, too, when I was there for the spring, but now, it was snowing outside, and it was decorated for Christmas inside. ❤️ So pretty. This is the first Library anyone will recommend to visit when in South Korea, and for sure it is a must, but like I mentioned, there are other bookish places to go.

The Starfield Library at the COEX Mall is in the middle of the mall. But to be exact with the address: 513, Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul
Bonus Bookstore
Suwon Starfield
A newer Starfield Library is in Suwon and it’s just as incredible as the one at COEX Mall.
I really love it how huge it felt since you can stand on a higher floor and look at the whole of the bookshelf and books from an open space, similar to COEX, but it felt grandiose somehow.

Starfield Suwon Address: Gyeonggi-do, Suwon-si, Jangan-gu, Suseong-ro, 175 스타필드 수원 4F~7F.
Have you been to any of these? Would you like to visit them? Let me know in the comments, it is still amazing to visit bookish spaces in South Korea, no matter if you are a book lover or not, or maybe I say that because I love books, you tell me. 😀
That’s it for this recount of the bookish places I visited in South Korea, thanks for sticking to the end and let me know if you’d like to know more about these. You can also check out places to visit on my VLog: EachPage by Sela.
