Welcome, dearies!
I’m back with a new one on anime and light novels.
But you are here for some rants I am sure… and since it’s been a while since I talked about this type of things, I had to pick one of the latest I watch. First, have you watched Classroom of the Elite? Season 1 and 2 were impactful for me.
But it was a long time ago, so I had to re watch the whole series before going into Season 3… it was worth it 😄
So, what did I think about it? Do I sound less excited than my previous mini rambling about CotE? Maybe.
It took me a bit to watch the final episode. But it’s on me for assuming what would happen and I shouldn’t have.
Now, prepare for spoilers if you haven’t watched the anime or read the light novel.
Alright, this anime is a Light Novel and Manga, but I haven’t read those. 😅 I want to, and the anime has captured my attention enough, I know it was aired a while back, but I only finished watching season 3 this 2025.
What is that like? I’ll tell you.
Classroom of the Elite S03
It all continues on their first year of the Elite High School where students are treated like adults, sort of, they are supposedly left to their own choices while being evaluated. The last class is higher in the ranks now, having won an event and points the past seasons, they rose thanks mostly to Ayanokoji Kiyotaka who is the mastermind of everything and has most of the popular girls under his control and the bully guys, too, even from other classes.
In any case, it is another long way to everyone trying to manipulate everybody, and come up on top. That’s pretty much it, seriously. But behind all of that, you try to discover what is the end game for Kiyotaka, other than being left alone and he rebelliously left the “prison” where he was raised with others, and now his father wants him back into that other place, or under his care, but they had some deal and Kiyotaka will not leave High School where he is sort of free to do as he wants. I mean, it all basically revolves around him, because inside school, other students have their own stories, but everyone eventually ends up involved in some way with our main character, that is just how it is.
It does not mean that it is not any less exciting, I still watched, and wanted to know what the heck is going on and what new event, test, or near sick games will they play with these teenagers, like they pair them up in some ways that plays with their intelligence and sometimes self-esteem.
But by the end of season 3 you only get more wrapped in it, because it was barely finishing Year 1, so they have a lot more to cover as they go into season 4, and can keep going for sure, the light novel already has second part with their second year, and I think the third as well. If you haven’t watched any of it, and you like drama, school life, and mystery, you will want to continue watching.
Teaser of Season 4 of Classroom of the Elite
I saw this one around… so I had to share.
Are you intrigued? Let’s talk for a moment about the ligth novel, not sure if you remember but it was originally a light novel.
What does the light novel cover?
Vast question, but first, the 4th season of Classroom of the Elite will cover vol 1 to 4 of the second arc of the story: Classroom of the Elite: Year 2. However, if you are a bit like me, then you want more details, well, it will be essentially vol. 15 to 19 or so of the whole series, aka, if you have not read the novels until now, you should start with the first one, which is vol. 1 of CoftE.
It can get confusing since it is the same name, you should look for the cover of it or for the description and number to differentiate.
This is the cover and description for vol. 1 of the whole series.
Classroom of the Elite (Light Novel) Vol. 1
Description:
Students of the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School are given remarkable freedom, if they can win, barter, or save enough points to work their way up the ranks! Ayanokoji Kiyotaka has landed at the bottom in the scorned Class D, where he meets Horikita Suzune, who’s determined to rise up the ladder to Class A. Can they beat the system in a school where cutthroat competition is the name of the game?
But for where the second arc starts, it is this one.
Classroom of the Elite: Year 2
Description:
Students of the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School are given remarkable freedom–if they can win, barter, or save enough points to work their way up the ranks! Who can beat the system in a school where cutthroat competition is the name of the game?
The second year of this intense school drama begins now!
And that is all, I have for this one, be on the lookout for my review of the light novels. I will read them at some point.
For now, I got the Sample on Kindle, just to see if I get started after reading it.
I’m really done, now, thank you for sticking to the end, dearies. Don’t forget to like, share, or leave a comment with your thoughts about this one.
Happy reading! And Watching! 👨🎓
