What did I read in 2024? It was a surprise!

what did i read in 2024

Welcome, dearies! 🐉🐍

The year is almost at an end, it might for some of you already, depending on where you are in the world. For me it is still Dec, 31st.

I was checking all the book reviews on the blog and was surprised by what I had picked up this year, mostly, “old” books but that were in my TBR since forever and I decided to read as many as I could.

Luckily, there was a dragon book in there, so the year of the Dragon was represented in my reading. For the year of the Snake (my year!) I shall see what books are out there that fit the criteria, there should be some interesting ones.

Alright, alright. I’ll begin.

2024 in Books

Claimed by a Demon King, this one was started on December 2023 but I finished on January 2024 so I’ll considered it my first read of the year. Then jumped back into Kissed by a Dark Prince because it had been ages since I first that book and I had to know if I was right the first time, and I was, I loved it again.

Then I went and read another 5 books in the Eternal Mates series, which has a bunch of books in the same universe like there are so many it is overwhelming to consider reading them all, but I didn’t read them in order. I just looked for the characters that I liked from the first three books.

In between and not in-between I also read my first light novel: My Happy Marriage vol. 1, and then the second volume and then stopped but I have them on my TBR and want to read them because I liked it a lot.

I also re-read a few books that I love: Teacher (Voyeur Series), The Smoke Thief, The Dream Thief and Queen of Dragons, all from the Drakon Series.

And then around November I started reading the Maddox Brothers series by Jamie McGuire because it had been sitting on my bookshelf (virtual one) for long enough, and don’t ask me why I suddenly opened the book: Beautiful Oblivion, and I could not stop reading it and that of course catapulted me into the next two book in the series, then I took a break and went on a trip to Seoul 😊 and for some reason and read very little, lol. There was so much to see, but that’s another post for another time, the bookstore that I saw in Seoul.

Anyway, maybe for next year I’ll read more book series, I like it. It’s fun and not just one stand-alone book, which can be cool but immersing myself in all the books about one world, I have re-discovered how much I love it.

That’s it for this one, dearies! Thank you for reading and revisiting the books that were on my hands this 2024. I hope 2025 will be just bookish as this one, not just for me, lol. For you, too.

Happy New Year! 🎇
