So Far: This is the truth of Harry Potter’s Upcoming Max TV Series

Alright, I give. 🥹

This is what is happening with the upcoming Harry Potter TV Show on Max.

Fine, I’ll talk about it if it is happening and Summer of 2025 will mark the start of the production.

I’m just saying all of this because I have seen a lot of fakes news, videos, and text around that it is simply outrageous. So, all the information here comes from the official website harrypotter.com. 📚

So, I had to do this.

The new Harry Potter HBO Original Series (that is the name it seems), it is not even officially scheduled to air or anything, and we barely know that the producers are: Mark Mylod and Francesca Gardiner. With help from J.K Rowling. Heyday Films, and others.

Now, if those that were involved in the movies will also be in the making of the show then there is hope yet. As the new show will have more air time and seasons then, you know, that the details will be good, we will see more of the book that what we got from the movies (which I still will love) but after reading this article I was more hopeful and interested in watching what it is to come in the next year.

Forget about the movies, that’s the first we have to do. We love them. We grew up watching them. We know every line from every scene. And we loved to criticize each film because characters or major plots were missing from the story, so here will come a show that will give us more of what we want. Like Peeves, according to the ex prod the poltergeist will be in the TV series.

And let’s think GOT season 1 because according to the producers, the first season will be book 1, and so on. But let us hope that UNLIKE Game of Thrones the resemblance and following the story will not end there, on season 1. And instead we will have much more in the next seasons.

Keep in mind that the trio (HRH) are not yet cast, even though thousand of peoples auditioned for the parts. So, don’t be tricked, there is no official announcement yet. However, Mark and Francesca, did talk about how they are looking for a younger actor to play Snape as in the books he would have been 31, right? So, even when we all love Alan Rickman, and no one can replace him, then I suppose their point is that we will see a different version of Snape. (*cough* Adam Driver). We all know who would play the role of Snape perfectly.

That’s all I have for now, there isn’t much going on right at this moment about the new show, so let’s try to stay positive that it will be good. I had my doubts about the whole thing and I hadn’t read a thing about it, I even thought it was not happening, but it is and we shall be the judge of how much of it we watch or like, when the time comes. 😄

BTW, the casting for Molly Weasley, Lucious Malfoy and Draco Malfoy looks spot on to me. Mrs Weasley will be played by Katherine Parkinson, Lucius will be represented by Johnny Flynn and Draco by Lox Pratt.
