What about Love Again?

Hello, dearies! 🎥

I recently watched Love Again with Sam Heugham 💕 oh, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Celine Dion.

I wasn’t going to mention it here, but sometimes you have to, because to be honest it wasn’t like the greatest love story ever, and half the time the story of her got a little on my nerves, though not as much as clearly seeing where the story was going and how it’ll end, maybe it was my Rom-Com filled brain 🤣 but truly, I knew even before they did that she would end up texting him. 📱

Back story:

This movie is a remake of a German film from 2016, which was based on the book SMS für Dich (Text for You) by Sofie Cramer, which by the book description sounds a bit more heartfelt than what we saw in the film. Don’t know if the German version has all the facts though, I’ll have to watch that movie, but this 2023 remake, it’s not exactly what I watched on HBO.

About the movie:

Mira Ray after losing her boyfriend (it was not her fiance) has her mourning period, and eventually decides to move on by sending him texts after some time, but the old number has been reassigned and it’s too late when she realizes what has happened, her soul and heart is exposed to the charismatic journalist Rob Burns, who of course decides to win her over, but…

Spoiler alert!

But he decides to delay the honesty and doesn’t tell her that she has been texting him instead. 🙄 classic.

Eventually, as this is a romance movie, it all winds up being sort of alright, and they manage to solve their difference. In a way. Oh, and Celine Dion sings. 😉❤️

In any case, I did watch the movie from beginning to end, but there were some parts in the middle that were a bit of, can I skip ahead? And it has nothing to do with their acting or anything because that was fine, but the storyline, honestly, it needed some work.

That’s me, I might try reading the book even if it has like 2 stars rating, but I don’t usually judge a book by how many stars it has because as I am always saying, we all have our tastes and what one dislikes maybe another will love.
