Hello, dearies!
Welcome to the blog. As you might have read before, I did a special post for Stranger Things when season 4 was out and finished, but after that? Silence from me.
Why? There are reasons, and yes, I will tell you know, but beware, this has spoilers, so continue at your own peril.
Why I didn’t talk about Stranger Things any longer?
It’s not that I didn’t like Season 5, it is the ending, and you probably already knew that if you watched it.
So, this was going to be a rant post, honestly. But I turned it into a spoiler Sunday as I will be pretty direct and there will be spoilers left and right.
What Happens in Season 5 of Stranger Things
This is the season where Max wakes up, there I said it. You probably knew it with how many memes and videos there are online about her in-depth “podcast” session with Holly before she even woke up.
But… there is also, a whole lot of looking for Henry, discovering the upside-down is not even another world, but some sort of wormhole, didn’t buy it fully but okay. Then, we do go to another world with Eleven, Holly, and the other kids. We get a glimpse of what happens to Henry, we pretty much, not care about the other characters, except for Steve, and occasionally Dustin, who forgot about Susie, it seems. (That was his girlfriend). And then there is the fact that Eleven and Mike were so distanced while trying to be together, it was awkward to watch, so I truly stopped caring about that part. Along with Will’s story arc.
See? I watched. I liked it, but there were things that made me want to skip ahead. And then there was that ending with Eleven not wanting to be on Earth any longer, just because the military was going to never stop searching for her, like, who cares? That’s the least of her worries, they could try to open another portal and go look for her in another world, dimension, whatever. Unless you believe the alternative and she went to live alone in a faraway triple waterfall town. 🤷♀️
So… That’s why I didn’t come running to talk to you, dearies. I didn’t have the drive for it like I did with the previous seasons.
