Honestly, I went from oh, my… to, seriously? 👀
I didn’t know before jumping into Memories of the Alahambra that it ended on basically a cliffhanger, and that was it. So, I’m telling you straight up so you know when you start watching it.
Now, spoilers ahead, so be aware if you have not watched this one.
I first started watching this show because of Park Shin-Hye, because I have always liked her as an actress, and also because of the plot of the story, it seemed interesting.
But when I started watching, the first episode was like, umm well, what’s going to happen, I need to know, but the thing is Hyun Bin (actor who plays the main character Yoo Jin-Woo), I was like, meh sure.
On Ep 4-5 I was still watching it because I was curious and had to know more, but the characters were not appealing to me.
And then, at some point between ep 6 and 11, I was so completely into it that I couldn’t look away, and by the end of ep 11, I could not stop watching, it was an increment and Hyun Bin it’s such a good actor that he ended up turning me and making me care. Talk about a complete turnaround, that’s a first for me, to be honest.
By ep 12…
This guy had made my heart skip, no way. And more so when he asks: did you eat?
Oh, you know you are tuned into the KDrama when that line makes you happy. 😂💘
So, yes, I was looking forward to finishing Memories of the Alhambra, everything was going well, and then, it ended, and it did not have a happily after ending. I always say to my friends that Korean dramas have a difficult time making good endings, but I cannot believe that the producers and writers of this show thought that was a good ending unless they believed that it would have another season, which perhaps was the idea, and then all these years passed and COVID, and all of it, and well, no news on a second season, if it ever happens, I’ll come back here and let you know.
Oh, and a little thing that this show had was a plot hole, SPOILER here: there was this character that started the whole bug business in the game, Marco, and then it seems the writers forgot about him, and thought we wouldn’t remember him when the other bugs were being deleted. For real? It was the first thing I thought about, but it’s over now, so moving on.

So, if you start watching this show, know that you will enjoy it and be left hanging by the of it.
That’s my part on this one, I just finished watching it and had to come here and let you know how it went while it’s still fresh. And yes, I watch old shows, and this one is from 2018-2019, and I just watched it because there are way too many shows on my list, don’t judge.
Anyway, after that rambling, I have a question, did you watch Memories of the Alhambra? Or have thought about watching it? Don’t be tricked by the fact that EXO’s Chanyeol is on the cast list, if you think you’re going to see him on every episode, wrong! He’s not. That’s my heads-up to you. Watch the show because it is good.
